Overnight in Sorrento Coast
After breakfast at the hotel, the group will set off for an exciting excursion to Mount Vesuvius, one of the most famous volcanoes in the world. The journey will take them up to a parking area at 1,000 meters altitude, where they will begin a scenic hike to the crater. Accompanied by an expert alpine guide, they will explore the summit, learning about the volcano’s history, its devastating eruption in 79 AD, and its impact on the surrounding region. From the top, they will be rewarded with breathtaking panoramic views of the Bay of Naples.
The adventure continues with a drive to Pompeii, arriving just in time for a free lunch, where students can choose from local restaurants before the afternoon’s exploration. Afterward, they will embark on a guided tour of the Archaeological Site of Pompeii, walking through the remarkably preserved streets of this ancient Roman city. After breakfast at the hotel, the group will transfer to the Port of Sorrento, where they will board a public boat with their local guide for the scenic journey to the island of Capri.
Upon arrival at the Port of Capri, they will embark on a boat tour to the famous Blue Grotto, marveling at the dazzling blue waters inside the cave.
Back on land, they will ascend by funicular to Anacapri, a charming town offering stunning views and a more tranquil atmosphere. With their guide, they will explore both Anacapri and the main town of Capri, discovering its elegant streets, designer boutiques, and hidden corners.
During the excursion, they will take the chairlift up to Monte Solaro, the highest point on the island, where they can soak in breathtaking panoramic views of the coastline and sea. There will be free time for lunch before returning by boat to Sorrento in the late afternoon.
