Upon arrival in Scotland, your group will be welcomed and transferred to Kilspindie Golf Club for your first round. Founded in 1867, Kilspindie is one of the oldest golf clubs in the world and sits quietly along the shores of the Firth of Forth. With its compact, walkable layout, ever-present sea breeze, and subtle design, it’s considered one of the best match play courses in Scotland — perfect for a relaxed opening round.
After golf, continue to North Berwick, where you'll settle in for five nights at The Law, a newly refurbished hotel on High Street. From here, it’s a short walk to both North Berwick Golf Club and The Glen, as well as an array of lively pubs, seaside restaurants, shops, and the town’s charming harbor. Unpack, unwind, and enjoy your first evening in one of Scotland’s most welcoming golf towns.
This morning, you’ll leave North Berwick behind for a scenic coastal drive to Dunbar Golf Club — but not without a quick stop to explore one of East Lothian’s most dramatic landmarks. Just a few minutes outside town, you'll enjoy a 40-minute visit to Tantallon Castle, a striking 14th-century fortress perched on red sandstone cliffs overlooking the North Sea. With panoramic views and centuries of turbulent history, it’s a perfect dose of Scottish heritage en route to your next round.
From there, it’s a short transfer to Dunbar Golf Club, where a true seaside links awaits. Stretching along a narrow strip of rugged coastline, Dunbar combines history, beauty, and challenge in equal measure. The opening holes play through parkland before opening up to a thrilling stretch of coastal golf, where sea breezes and stone walls shape shot selection. A round here is always memorable — bold off the tee, scenic throughout, and full of character.
After golf, enjoy a post-round pint in Dunbar’s clubhouse, which offers one of the best views in East Lothian.
Few places in golf stir the soul like North Berwick Golf Club, and for us, this course is far more than just a round — it’s home. It was the first course I ever played in Scotland, back in 1991, and from that very first tee shot, I knew it was special. Over the years, it has become our favorite course in the world — a place where golf, community, and history come together in perfect balance.
Your day begins just steps from the sea, with the red-tiled rooftops of the town behind you and Bass Rock looming white in the distance. From the opening hole, North Berwick is full of character — a links unlike any other, with stone walls that cut across fairways, blind shots, ancient green sites, and the unmistakable rumble of turf underfoot.
You’ll play unforgettable holes like the Redan, perhaps the most copied par-3 in the world, and Pit, where a stone wall guards a sunken green. But the magic of North Berwick isn’t just found in the layout — it’s in the way the course flows naturally with the land, and in the way the game is played here: fun, fast, and full of imagination.
As members of this special club, we always feel proud to welcome others to experience it for the first time — to see the joy on their faces as they walk the fairways, feel the sea breeze, and realize they’re somewhere truly unique.
After the round, enjoy a pint in the historic clubhouse, perched just above the 18th green, and take in the same views that have greeted golfers for generations. Whether it’s your first visit or your tenth, a day at North Berwick never feels routine — it feels like coming home.
After several exhilarating rounds on Scotland’s world-class links, today is your chance to relax, explore, or enjoy an optional round at another incredible course.
Stay local and soak up the charm of North Berwick — take a stroll along the beach, visit the local shops and cafés, or enjoy fresh seafood by the harbor. For those craving a bit of adventure, you can hop on a boat tour to the Bass Rock and surrounding islands, where dramatic sea cliffs and wildlife await.
If you’d prefer a city escape, the train into Edinburgh runs regularly and takes less than 40 minutes. Spend the day exploring iconic sights like Edinburgh Castle, the Royal Mile, or enjoy lunch and a whisky tasting in the heart of the capital.
For those who can’t get enough golf, we’re also happy to arrange an optional round at Gullane Golf Club, just a short drive away. With its rolling fairways, seaside views, and rich Scottish Open Championship history, Gullane is a perfect bonus round for those looking to keep the swing going.
Today is all about freedom and flexibility — whether you choose leisure, sightseeing, or another round, it’s your Scotland, your way.
Today’s round brings you to one of East Lothian’s best-kept secrets — The Glen Golf Club, perched high above the Firth of Forth on the eastern edge of North Berwick. Often overshadowed by its more famous neighbor, The Glen is a true hidden gem that offers breathtaking views, a fun and varied layout, and a welcoming, laid-back atmosphere.
From the first tee, you’re treated to sweeping vistas of Bass Rock, the open sea, and the red sandstone cliffs that define this stretch of coast. The course itself is a joyful challenge, with elevated tee shots, rolling fairways, and greens tucked into natural folds of the land. While it’s playable for all skill levels, the sea breeze and terrain make sure it never feels easy.
The Glen is a community club with a big personality — a place where visitors are made to feel right at home. Whether you card a career round or just soak up the scenery, this is a day you’ll remember long after the final putt drops.
After your round, enjoy a pint in the clubhouse with one of the best panoramic views in Scottish golf.
As your time in East Lothian winds down, you’ll trade seaside links for Highland majesty with one of the most beautiful travel days in all of Scotland. This morning begins with a train ride from North Berwick to Inverness, a journey that unfolds like a moving postcard — passing through rolling farmland, pine forests, sparkling rivers, and the foothills of the Cairngorms.
As the train climbs northward, you'll watch the landscape transform from the gentle greens of the Lowlands to the rugged grandeur of the Highlands. The route offers stunning views of distant peaks, winding lochs, and remote villages that few travelers ever see — all from the comfort of your seat. It’s a peaceful, reflective journey and a memorable way to experience the soul of Scotland in motion.
Upon arrival in Inverness, your private coach will meet you at the station and transfer you to Brora, a timeless Highland village where golf history, tranquility, and natural beauty converge. You'll arrive with plenty of time to check into your accommodations at Brora Golf Villas overlooking the course and sea., stretch your legs with a stroll through town, or enjoy a pint before preparing for the next day’s golf at one of the most storied clubs in the world.
Today we will take a short walk to Brora Golf Club, a classic and historic links with sheep and Harry Coos grazing among the golfers. Amazing conditioning and a truly fun course.
Founded in 1891 and later redesigned by James Braid, Brora is a classic out-and-back layout that embraces the natural terrain with minimal intrusion. Expect crisp turf, grazing sheep, electric fences, and a rhythm of holes that feel untouched by time. With the sea always in view and the wind never far behind, Brora offers pure, traditional golf in a peaceful and unforgettable setting.
After your round, settle in for a relaxed clubhouse dinner overlooking the 18th green and the water beyond. With locally sourced fare, a pint in hand, and the soft Highland light stretching into the evening, it’s the perfect way to reflect on a day well spent on one of Scotland’s true hidden gems.
You’ll then return to Dornoch, content and refreshed, with another classic round etched into memory.
Formerly known as Castle Stuart, Cabot Highlands stands proudly among Scotland’s premier modern links destinations. Located just outside Inverness along the shores of the Moray Firth, this visually stunning course blends strategic design with Highland drama, offering a championship experience that is as inspiring as it is enjoyable.
Designed by the late Mark Parsinen and Gil Hanse, the course opened in 2009 and quickly garnered acclaim for its thoughtful routing, playability, and spectacular vistas. The holes are laid out across a natural terrace above the firth, creating frequent moments where the views compete with the golf for your attention. Elevated tees, infinity-edge greens, and wide, rumpled fairways define the experience — a layout that encourages creativity and rewards bold shot-making.
Cabot Highlands has hosted the Scottish Open multiple times, drawing top players from around the world, yet it remains eminently playable for club-level golfers. It’s a course where strategy and enjoyment coexist beautifully.
Adding to the excitement, Cabot Highlands is now expanding its footprint with the creation of The Petty Course, a new 18-hole layout designed by Tom Doak, set to open in the coming years. The Petty promises to be a pure, minimalist interpretation of Highland links golf, further cementing Cabot Highlands as a world-class multi-course destination.
With its breathtaking setting, championship pedigree, and vision for the future, Cabot Highlands is more than just a round of golf — it’s a celebration of the game’s past, present, and next chapter in the Highlands.
Today is one of those days every golfer dreams of — a round at the legendary Royal Dornoch, consistently ranked among the world’s finest and most beloved courses. Located in the heart of the Scottish Highlands, this revered links is not just a test of skill, but a journey through the soul of the game.
Founded in 1877 and shaped by the hand of Old Tom Morris, Royal Dornoch unfolds along the white-sand shores of the Dornoch Firth with a quiet grandeur that words can barely do justice. The course is natural and untamed, with elevated greens, gorse-lined fairways, and views that stretch endlessly across land and sea. Every hole feels crafted by nature, and every shot demands imagination.
For me personally, Royal Dornoch holds special meaning — in 2018, my son Aidan and I had the honor of winning the G.K. MacKay Trophy on these very links. It was one of those unforgettable days where golf, family, and history come together in the most meaningful way. That memory makes every return here even more powerful.
As you make your way through the round — perhaps challenged by the ever-present breeze or rewarded with a perfectly struck approach — you can’t help but feel connected to the generations who’ve walked these same fairways. There’s a reverence here, but also a joy. Dornoch doesn’t try to intimidate — it invites you in and simply asks for your best.
The round ends as it began: with a sense of wonder. Whether you post a personal best or not, a day at Royal Dornoch stays with you — the crispness of the turf, the silence between the dunes, the warmth of the Highland welcome, and the knowledge that you’ve played somewhere truly special.
Afterward, raise a glass in the clubhouse and take it all in — you’ve just lived one of golf’s greatest days.
As your unforgettable Scottish golf adventure comes to a close, you’ll enjoy a smooth and scenic private transfer to Inverness Airport, located just over an hour from Dornoch. The drive winds through classic Highland landscapes — a peaceful and fitting final impression of this magical part of the world.
Inverness Airport is a small, modern, and very manageable terminal with friendly service and minimal congestion, making it an ideal departure point. Flights from Inverness connect easily to major hubs such as London, Amsterdam, and Dublin, where you'll begin your journey home.
After a week of world-class links, warm welcomes, and unforgettable moments, we hope you leave with lasting memories and a deep appreciation for Scotland’s golf heritage and hospitality. On behalf of all of us at GoGolfTours, thank you for joining us — and we look forward to welcoming you back on your next adventure.
