10:00am: 1st Tee at Portmarnock (Old)

Within a picturesque curve of coastline, 10 miles to the north of Dublin City, Portmarnock Golf Club sits majestically on a narrow tongue of shallow duneland. The clubhouse was built on its present site in 1896, It has undergone changes due to a fire (1905) and periodic additions to accommodate growing numbers.

As a measure of its enduring quality, it remains one of the most respected venues in world golf. No other Irish course has been graced by so many distinguished players in a rich history encompasing a broad sweep of significant events. It is where Arnold Palmer and Sam Snead successfully followed its serpentine route through classsic linkland on their way to victory in the 1960 Canada Cup. Portmarnock Golf Club is where another generation of Americans, including Phil Mickelson and David Duval, secured a memorable Walker Cup triumph in 1991. These events, along with 19 stagings of the European Tour's Irish Open Championship, reflect the quality of a searching examination across the link's 27 holes.

The Championship links are rated consistently at the top of national polls, including the Golf Digest rankings.

10:30am: 1st Tee Time at Royal Dublin Golf Club

Founded by Mr. John Lumsden, The Royal Dublin Golf Club is steeped in golfing history and presents a stern golfing examination on a truly magnificent links course. Royal Dublin Golf Club is located on Bull Island, in Dublin Bay. The island was formed following the building of a sea wall in the early 1800s. The result is a perfect sandy island, superb terrain for a golf course and an excellent home for flora and fauna. Bull Island is the only UNESCO Biosphere Reserve in a capital city.

The Dublin Golf Club, as it was originally called, was founded in 1885. The club moved twice before the course finally came to rest on Bull Island, in 1889. Two years later, Queen Victoria granted the club royal patronage. The course was severely damaged during the First World War and was rebuilt by Harry Colt, the world famous golf architect from Sunningdale, in 1920.

Since the Irish Open was first held here in 1894, the Royal Dublin has hosted in excess of 50 professional and amateur championships. These championships have attracted some of the best players in the world to Dollymount.

Jameson Golf Links was formerly known as Portmarnock Links until 2023. It is an 18 hole course spread across 203 acres and is set on the grounds of the old Jameson Estate of St. Marnocks. the course has played host to professional and amateur events including the 2008 and 2009 Ladies Irish Open and the 2021 Irish Challenge.

Jameson Golf Links makes full use of the dunes and natural terrain to provide a layout that will please the most ardent of links purists. The elevated tees and greens, blind approaches and doglegs, not to mention the typical links sea breeze, will keep you thinking through every round.
