On this all-inclusive tour, we’ll begin and end in the charming capital of Ljubljana, with extended stays on the shores of stunning Lake Bled and in the coastal town of Koper, set right on the Adriatic Sea. Along the way, we’ll enjoy delicious local meals, visit beautiful cathedrals and centuries-old castles, and explore Postojna Cave—one of the largest and most awe-inspiring cave systems in Europe.

Fly into Ljubljana International Airport. Flights to Ljubljana usually arrive in the late afternoon.
Be greeted at the airport by a private driver, who will take you to our four-star hotel in the city center, The Hotel Heritage.
Note: If guests wish to arrive one day earlier, so that they may relax for a full day before the tour starts, they may do so. Anyone arriving one day early will still have complimentary airport pickup, but will be on their own for April 27 in terms of activities, and will be charged for an extra night at the hotel)

Meet in the hotel lobby and walk to a nearby restaurant, Julija, for a welcome dinner
Meet in the hotel lobby and begin a walking tour, with a local guide, of Ljubljana.
Guests will begin the tour by walking over the “Triple Bridge” and entering the old city. The first stop will be at the Central Market where guests will be able to enjoy a sample of fresh produce.
Enjoy a tour of the wonderful Saint Nicholas’ Cathedral. Originally a Roman church built in the 13th Century, Saint Nicholas’ is now a Gothic-style cathedral featuring famous paintings and frescos.
Due to the time constraints of the next activity, guests will enjoy an early lunch at the city’s famous riverside.
Ride up a funicular, to the top of a low mountain, to reach Ljubljana Castle.
Guests will enjoy the “Time Machine” tour, which is highlighted by actors and actresses dressed clothing worn by the Romans, kings and queens, etc., who lived in the castle.
After this tour, guests will be able to explore the castle with their local guide. One of the most famous sites in the city, Ljubljana Castle is a wonderful place to explore.

Begin the day with a one-hour, self-guided tour of The National Gallery. This museum houses the largest collection of Slovenian art in the country, with examples of art from the medieval times through the 20th Century.
Walk a short distance to Tivoli Park, where guests will enjoy a picturesque stroll through the city’s main park.
Take taxis a short distance back to the old part of the city, where guests will once again enjoy a riverside lunch.
Guests will enjoy a private boat tour of Ljubljana Canal. This educational tour will provide opportunities to learn about this medieval city’s colorful history.

Meet in hotel lobby and depart to enjoy a traditional Slovenian dinner highlighted by a traditional folk dance and show.
Meet in the hotel lobby, with bags packed. Board a private bus, alongside your local guide, and depart for Lake Bohinj.
We will be stopping at Lake Bled before proceeding to our final destination.
After about a two-hour drive, you will arrive at the spectacular Lake Bled. Enjoy lunch at a lakeside restaurant
Guests will take a traditional boat, a “pletna”, to Bled Island. There guests will enjoy free time and will be able to visit the wonderful Church of the Assumption.
Head back to the bus and continue the drive to Lake Bohinj, about 15 minutes away.
Arrive at your four-star hotel, The Hotel Bohinj. This hotel is located at the edge of the lake, and has views of the lake and the Julian Alps. Enjoy free time at your hotel. The hotel has fantastic spas, and several walking trails around the area.
After a busy day, guests will enjoy dinner at the hotel’s restaurant.
Meet in hotel lobby and depart, in a private bus, alongside your local guide, for Bled Castle.
Enjoy a guided tour of this famous castle, exploring exhibits that feature the history of Slovenia, going back to many millennia, to some of the earliest human settlements on Earth.
Enjoy lunch within the castle walls.
Return to the bus and drive to the famous Vintgar Gorge. Here guests will enjoy a guided, 90-minute walk above a crystal-clear river, deep within this scenic gorge.
Return to the bus and head to the town of Lake Bled. Enjoy free time to explore the town.
Head to Arroi Restaurant for dinner, which is near the lake and features Japanese and Thai cuisine.
After dinner, take taxis back to the hotel.
Meet in hotel lobby, and head to the trailhead for a hike up to see Savica Waterfall. We will be travelling via vans to the trailhead.
This will be about a 30-minute hike to one of the most beautiful waterfalls in Slovenia.
Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant, by the side of the lake.
After lunch, return to the vans and head to the Church of Saint John the Baptist for a short tour. Enjoy learning about this 14th century church that sits at the edge of the lake.
Take the vans back to the hotel and enjoy the rest of the day at your own leisure.
There are many activities you may enjoy in and around the hotel. Walk around the lake, enjoy the many spa and wellness services, go on another hike at a nearby trail, and many more.
After a long day of touring, we will enjoy dinner at the hotel restaurant. Enjoy dinner at your own leisure.
Meet in hotel lobby, with bags packed, and depart on a private bus for Piran.
This 2.5-hour drive will take us through beautiful forests and a mountain range, before you arrive at this medieval town at the edge of the Adriatic Sea.
Arrive and enjoy lunch at the five-star hotel, Kempinski Palace Protoroz, while waiting for check-in.
After lunch, check into your room and enjoy free time. Relax for the rest of the afternoon, or explore the area independently.
Meet in the hotel lobby and take taxis or the hotel shuttle into the old city of Piran, about ten minutes away. While there, we will enjoy a sunset dinner by the water.
After dinner, return to the hotel via taxis or hotel shuttle.
Meet in the hotel lobby and depart, with your local guide, to enjoy a walking tour of Piran. After a short drive, begin your day by exploring Tartine Square. Afterwards, take a slightly uphill, fifteen-minute walk to The Church of St. George.
After a short stop at the church, continue your upward path until you reach The Piran Town Walls.
Originally built in the 7th Century, these walls can still be summitted, and feature wonderful views of the city.
Walk back down into the city, and enjoy lunch at a local restaurant.
Enjoy a self-guided tour of the interesting Maritime Museum.
Relax for the rest of the day, or continue exploring the area independently.
Guests may enjoy activities such as lounging by the ocean, shopping, and more.
Meet in the hotel lobby and walk to a nearby seafood restaurant, Santa Lucia Ribja Kantina.
Meet in the lobby, with bags packed. Board private bus, with your local guide, for the return trip to Ljubljana.
Stop at the extraordinary Postojna Cave complex. Enjoy lunch at one of the many restaurants here.
Begin your 90-minute tour of Postojna Cave, one of the largest caves in Europe, which is many miles long and deep underground.
You will begin and end this tour with a train ride to and from the caves. You will also enjoy a 45-minute walking tour of the cave.
Return to the bus and renew the drive to Ljubljana.
Arrive at Ljubljana and check into the five-star Grand Plaza Hotel and Congress Centre. From your high-rise room, enjoy a great view of the city.
Meet at the hotel lobby and enjoy a farewell dinner at a nearby restaurant.
