Northern Lights Experience on Snowmobiles:

A true night time adventure to hunt for the Northern Lights with electric snowmobiles!

During the tour you get to ride electric snowmobiles through the forests and frozen lakes.

We ride our eSleds to the top of a hill far from the city lights – an ideal place for watching the Northern Lights. During the ride we'll stop to observe and admire the night sky and, if we are lucky, see the Northern Lights as well.

Since eSleds are quiet, we don´t disturb animals in the area. Therefore, we have a better chance to meet reindeer and other arctic animals in their natural habitat. There will be a stop on a scenic view point to take some nice photos!

You will enjoy a nice break by campfire in a cozy wooden kota, where there is possibility to grill some sausages with the help of our guide.

Adventure to Auttiköngäs Canyon

In Auttiköngäs canyon the echoes of lumberjack history resonate through the ancient taiga forests.

The Auttiköngäs nature trail, a captivating 3,5 km (2.2 miles) ring trail awaits, transporting you deep into a primeval wilderness.

Located only a one-hour drive away from the city of Rovaniemi, Auttiköngäs is part of a forest protection program to protect old-growth forests in Northern Finland. Owing to its extensive protection, the Auttiköngäs area offers for an ideal opportunity to explore untouched Finnish wilderness.

The Auttiköngäs canyon and waterfall adventure provides amazingly versatile opportunities for photography and immersive nature exploration, led by a professional guide-photographer. Step into a world that has remained in its natural state for centuries - the age-old taiga forest itself creates a breathtakingly scenic to enjoy, while you fill your lungs with pure Arctic air. Along our tour, we will hike to the summit of a small fell, where an inspiring panoramic view of the valley below unfolds before our eyes.

Having absorbed the views from the top of the fell, we continue our journey, tracing the paths of ancient seashores, leading us to a shelter next to the frozen river. Here, we will build a campfire, prepare a light lunch, and enjoy a steaming cup of hot juice.

Our adventure progresses along the frozen river, until we reach the great Auttiköngäs canyon – itself a part of the wider canyon system that includes the famous Korouoma valley. The Auttiköngäs canyon is a truly breathtaking spectacle that shows the raw power of nature. However, it is the 16-meter-high waterfall, running wild and strong despite the freezing temperatures, that is the star of the show.

The Auttiköngäs canyon is an often-overlooked gem of a hiking trail, where you can fully immerse yourself in the natural beauty of the Arctic during this full-day adventure - away from the masses.
