Vagabond Moto presents the Rally for Taylor!
The Rally for Taylor is a three-day adventure ride to raise funds and support Taylor Peet, founder of Girls Can Ride, an all-women motocross coaching program, and Throttle Girls, a moto apparel and community brand that has inspired countless women to ride with confidence and belonging.
On Saturday, 29th of June, Taylor was seriously injured in a crash that left her with two broken wrists, broken ribs, a punctured lung, and a T7 spinal cord injury, resulting in a loss of feeling from the torso down. Her recovery will be long and challenging, involving months in hospital, extensive rehabilitation, and the need for specialised equipment.
This rally is about making sure she doesn’t face that journey alone. Riders will come together to share the dirt roads, the stories, and the spirit of mateship — all with one clear purpose: raising funds to support Taylor’s recovery.
This is a free ride to enter, organised and supported by our Vagabond Moto crew from start to finish. The only condition is simple: once booked, a donation to Taylor’s recovery fund is your entry fee. Every rider who donates is welcome, and every dollar goes directly to Taylor. Rider numbers are capped at 30.
Over three days, we’ll enjoy some incredible riding and finish with a special auction night, where we will auction off prizes from our incredible sponsors and supporters, where every winning bid goes directly toward Taylor’s recovery. This will be the heart of the rally! Mates, riders, and industry supporters coming together to raise vital funds for Taylor's journey.
Every donation made and every winning bid at the charity auction goes directly to Taylor!
The Rally for Taylor is a three-day adventure through some of the best riding country in the Central West. The route has been designed to offer a true mix of terrain — sweeping country tar, flowing gravel roads, and forestry trails that keep the ride interesting without being overwhelming.
Along the way, we’ll pass through places that every adventure rider should experience at least once: the winding roads around Wyangala Dam, the rolling farmland leading into Cowra, the classic ADV blend of open backroads and bushland around Orange, and the iconic Bridle Track into historic Hill End. From there the rally winds on through Sofala and the trails of Sunny Corner State Forest, before returning to Bathurst to close out the ride with an auction night that will bring the whole community together.
It’s a ride with variety, flow, and purpose. Riders can expect a bit of everything — from fast rural straights & rocky riverside tracks to the lush rolling hills! This is not a race or an endurance test, but a chance to enjoy three solid days on the bike, share the road with mates, and rally behind a cause that matters to us at Vagabond Moto!
Minimum 200km fuel range and knobby tyres (Pirelli Scorpion Rally or equivalent) required!
The rally kicks off in Bathurst, with riders making their way into town during the afternoon. Sign-on will be based at the Ox Hotel, where we’ll check everyone in and run through the essentials for the coming days ahead.
Once the admin is out of the way, we’ll all come together for a casual group dinner (at your expense) at the motel. It’s a chance to meet faces old and new, catch up with mates, and share the anticipation for the ride ahead. Just a solid meal and good company before the rally kicks off!

Our first day on the bikes kicks off as we roll out of Bathurst and head south through open country, with a mix of fast-flowing backroads and sweeping bends to get everyone into the rhythm of the ride. The early morning stretches are all about covering ground and enjoying the big views that Central West NSW is known for.
By mid-morning, we reach Wyangala Dam, where we’ll top up the tanks. The dam itself is a highlight — the ride in gives us a taste of the rugged hills and winding roads that surround the water. Once refuelled, we’ll loop around the edge of the dam and into some truly awesome riding, with climbs, descents, and lake views that make it one of the most scenic sections of the rally.
From Wyangala, we push west, linking up a series of backroads and quiet stretches that lead us toward Cowra. The terrain shifts as we near the finish, with a good run through forest country — a mix of dirt and trail that keeps the energy high right to the end of the day.
We’ll roll into Cowra by late afternoon, giving riders time to check in, settle down, and share a meal and a few beers together. It’s a solid start to the rally — a full day of riding, plenty of variety, and just a taste of what’s still to come.

Today serves up a bit of everything — the kind of riding that keeps you grinning inside the helmet. We roll out of Cowra and straight into open country through rolling farmland. The pace builds as the morning goes on, with a few backroad detours to keep things interesting.
Midway through the day, the terrain shifts. We’ll cut into sections of gravel and dirt that thread through quiet bushland, mixing in faster rural roads with some more technical forest runs. It’s the perfect blend of surfaces — a true adventure mix that gives every rider something to enjoy.
By mid-afternoon we’ll roll into town and park the bikes for the last time. With the riding done, the evening is all about the auction. This will be the heart of the rally — riders, mates, and supporters gathering to celebrate the journey, share a meal, and raise vital funds for Taylor’s recovery. Every bid counts, and every dollar raised goes directly to helping her on the road ahead.

Our final day on the bikes is a big one, packed with classic Central West adventure riding. We leave Orange and drop onto the historic Bridle Track, following the Macquarie River into the gold rush town of Hill End. This section delivers everything — rocky climbs, riverside runs, and the kind of terrain that makes the Bridle Track legendary among riders.
From Hill End we continue on to Sofala, another historic mining town, before cutting across into the Sunny Corner State Forest. The trails here are a perfect way to close out the riding — flowing forest tracks mixed with rugged sections that keep the energy high all the way back into Bathurst.
We aim to be back in Bathurst around 2 pm to get everyone in and on their way home.
This ride is free to enter! (Limited to 30 riders) On the condition that you make a donation to Taylor's GoFundMe page!
