The drive to Swakopmund is a scenic 40-minute drive - your first glimpses of Namibia’s wide-open landscapes and the rugged beauty that defines this incredible country.
Swakopmund is a charming coastal town where the Namib Desert meets the Atlantic Ocean, known for its relaxed atmosphere, German colonial architecture, and wide range of adventure activities.
Settle into your accommodation, unwind and take some time to freshen up, then head out for a relaxed walk through this quaint little town before dinner.
A stylish and welcoming guesthouse in the heart of Swakopmund, just a short walk from the beach and town centre, offering comfortable rooms and a relaxed, personalised stay.
If you arrive the day before or early morning, why not head out on one of the following activities:
Swakopmund and Walvis Bay offer a variety of exciting activities for all interests, ranging from half-day to full-day adventures, as well as combo experiences.
Half-day activities include thrilling dune rides with quad biking and sandboarding, or a serene camel ride through the desert. For wildlife lovers, a half-day boat tour or kayaking from Walvis Bay offers a chance to see dolphins, seals, and pelicans.
For a full day, you can embark on a 4x4 dune safari, exploring the the famous Sandwich Harbour and even combine it with an ocean safari or kayaking with seals.
While the Namib Desert offers warm, sunny days, the coastal areas around Swakopmund and Walvis Bay can be quite chilly, especially in the early mornings and late afternoons. It's a good idea to bring a light jacket or sweater to stay comfortable during your activities. Layering is key, as it allows you to adjust to the changing temperatures while enjoying your desert adventures or coastal excursions.
After breakfast we will head along the coast to visit the Zeila wreck and then onwards to Spitzkoppe. The drive will take about 2 hours. We will head out for a hike up the mountain in search of the Bushman engravings.
This place will stir your soul as you wander among the dramatic granite peaks and discover the ancient Bushman engravings etched into the stone - a timeless meeting of nature’s grandeur and human history. As the day fades and the sun sets, we will roll out our yoga mats around this sacred space. The stillness will deepen your practice with every breath and every movement.
Dinner tonight will be alound the campfire.
Spitzkoppe Cabin Camp offers a unique blend of comfort and nature in the heart of Namibia's iconic Spitzkoppe region. This self-catering accommodation features 12 thoughtfully designed log cabins that provide a cozy retreat amidst the dramatic granite peaks and expansive desert landscapes.
Each cabin is equipped with two single beds adorned with quality bedding, bedside tables with lamps, an armchair, a full-length mirror, a cupboard, and a luggage stand. Outside, guests can enjoy a private seating area with a table and chairs, as well as a fire pit with a grill - perfect for evening barbecues under the stars.
To promote sustainability in this fragile desert environment, the camp provides shared ablution facilities for every six cabins. These facilities include flush toilets, hot showers, washbasins with mirrors, and sinks for dishwashing.
With its stunning location, comfortable accommodations, and commitment to sustainability, Spitzkoppe Cabin Camp provides an unforgettable experience for travelers seeking to immerse themselves in Namibia's natural beauty

The scenery constantly shifts as we move deeper into this remote region, with the chance of spotting desert-adapted elephants, giraffe, zebra and springbok along the way.
We stop at the Damara Living Museum for a glimpse into local culture, before continuing through increasingly rugged terrain to Palmwag for lunch.
From here, it’s a final hour into the wilderness to reach our lodge.
Check in, relax, and end the day with dinner surrounded by the sounds of nature beneath Namibia’s vast open skies.

Day 4: Today is yours to enjoy at your own pace - relax at the pool or join an optional nature drive with the lodge in search of the elusive desert-adapted elephants.
In the early evening, we gather for a yoga session as the light softens over the landscape, followed by dinner and a quiet night in preparation for our journey further north to Epupa Falls tomorrow.
Nestled in the dramatic Khowarib Gorge along the Hoanib River, Khowarib Lodge offers a unique stay in one of Namibia’s most remote and rugged landscapes. Elevated tented chalets and self-catering units overlook the riverbed and surrounding cliffs, creating a peaceful and scenic setting.
This is the perfect base for exploring the wild northwest, with opportunities to track desert-adapted wildlife and experience the culture of the Himba people.
Day 5: After breakfast, we set off early, heading further north on a scenic drive of around six hours. The landscapes continue to transform as we travel - from rugged, rocky terrain to more open valleys and finally the greener, palm-lined banks of the Kunene River near Epupa Falls.
Along the way, we pause in nature for a short outdoor yoga session - a chance to stretch, breathe, and take in the stillness of this remote region.

Day 6: Today is yours to enjoy. Relax at the lodge overlooking the falls, or join one of the optional activities - visit a Himba village for a cultural experience, or go rafting on the Kunene River.
Evening yoga session before dinner.
Set on the banks of the Kunene River, just a short walk from the cascading Epupa Falls, Omarunga Epupa-Falls Camp offers a truly unique stay in one of Namibia’s most remote and magical regions. Surrounded by makalani palm forests and ancient baobabs, the camp sits in a lush oasis where the river plunges into a dramatic gorge below.
Comfortable tented chalets are tucked beneath the palms, each with views towards the river, allowing you to fully immerse yourself in the sounds and energy of the falls.
This is a place to slow down and take it all in - whether walking to the waterfalls, enjoying a sundowner overlooking the river, or visiting a nearby Himba village for a deeper cultural connection.
Day 7: After breakfast, we begin our journey back south towards Palmwag, with a scenic drive of approximately 6.5 hours through Namibia’s vast and ever-changing landscapes.
On arrival at the lodge, there is time to relax and take in the surroundings before enjoying a beautiful sunset over the rugged Damaraland terrain.
Palmwag is one of the best places in Namibia to encounter desert-adapted elephants, which are known to roam freely through the area - often passing near the camp and even the pool. With its remote setting and open surroundings, this is a truly special place to unwind and experience the quiet magic of the wild.
Set between the remote Kaokoland and the Skeleton Coast, Palmwag Lodge is nestled among makalani palms along the Uniab River, overlooking the vast and rugged landscapes of northern Damaraland.
Surrounded by open wilderness and dramatic scenery, the lodge offers a peaceful base to unwind, with comfortable rooms, a pool, and sweeping views across one of Namibia’s most wildlife-rich conservation areas - home to desert-adapted elephants, rhino, and other rare species.
Day 8: This morning, you have the option to join an optional rhino tracking experience with the lodge - a unique half-day activity led by experienced guides and local trackers. On foot, you follow the tracks of critically endangered desert-adapted black rhino through the rugged terrain of Damaraland, learning about their behaviour, conservation, and the delicate ecosystem they inhabit. It’s a rare and powerful wildlife encounter, offering a deeper connection to one of Namibia’s most iconic species.
You’ll return to the lodge in time for lunch before we begin our journey back towards the coast, travelling along the dramatic Skeleton Coast.
The drive takes around six hours, with landscapes once again shifting from inland mountains and valleys to the stark beauty of desert meeting ocean. Along the way, we stop at Cape Cross, home to one of the largest Cape fur seal colonies in the world, where thousands of seals gather along the shoreline - a wild and unforgettable sight.
By early evening, we arrive back in Swakopmund. Settle in, then enjoy the fresh coastal air with our last yoga session, reflecting on the journey as the day comes to a close.

Travel Tips
Pack for all seasons: Namibia's weather can vary significantly. While days can be hot, mornings and evenings, especially along the coast or in the desert, can be quite chilly. Bring layers, including a light jacket, sun protection, and sturdy footwear for outdoor activities.
Stay hydrated: The desert climate can be dry, so it's essential to drink plenty of water throughout your trip. Carry a reusable water bottle with you at all times.
Respect wildlife: Namibia is home to stunning wildlife, including desert-adapted animals. Always maintain a safe distance, follow your guide’s instructions, and never disturb animals in their natural habitat.
Bring some cash: While major cities have ATMs, smaller towns or remote areas may not, so it’s a good idea to carry some Namibian dollars in cash for smaller purchases and gratuity.
Be mindful of the sun: The African sun can be intense, even on cooler days. Use high-SPF sunscreen, wear a hat, and seek shade when necessary.
Respect local cultures: Namibia is home to diverse cultures and tribes. Be polite and considerate when visiting local communities, and ask for permission before taking photos of people.
Embrace the silence: Namibia is known for its vast, open spaces and quiet landscapes. Take time to appreciate the stillness, which can be a deeply restorative experience.
