Travel Tips
Pack for all seasons: Namibia's weather can vary significantly. While days can be hot, mornings and evenings, especially along the coast or in the desert, can be quite chilly. Bring layers, including a light jacket, sun protection, and sturdy footwear for outdoor activities.
Stay hydrated: The desert climate can be dry, so it's essential to drink plenty of water throughout your trip. Carry a reusable water bottle with you at all times.
Respect wildlife: Namibia is home to stunning wildlife, including desert-adapted animals. Always maintain a safe distance, follow your guide’s instructions, and never disturb animals in their natural habitat.
Bring some cash: While major cities have ATMs, smaller towns or remote areas may not, so it’s a good idea to carry some Namibian dollars in cash for smaller purchases and gratuity.
Be mindful of the sun: The African sun can be intense, even on cooler days. Use high-SPF sunscreen, wear a hat, and seek shade when necessary.
Respect local cultures: Namibia is home to diverse cultures and tribes. Be polite and considerate when visiting local communities, and ask for permission before taking photos of people.
Embrace the silence: Namibia is known for its vast, open spaces and quiet landscapes. Take time to appreciate the stillness, which can be a deeply restorative experience.

This retreat gives you rare one-on-one time with Alana, and is designed as a living, mini-experience of her process. Each guest will receive a copy of the book, with journal-style prompts to work through at your own pace. Alana will curate exercises, including new ones inspired by the desert and wide open spaces of magical Namibia.
Every day includes moments of therapeutic movement such as breathwork, gentle yoga, tapping, and somatic practices. This is for every body, all fitness levels welcome. These sessions are designed to help you feel into your body as a safe container, not as a workout. There will be times set aside for group circles to explore themes, as well as fireside reflections, mornings on desert dunes, and spontaneous safari moments where what you see in the wild becomes a mirror for your own essence. You’ll also have quiet time with your book to reflect and write. As the retreat draws to a close, Alana will help you shape your discoveries into something practical you can take home. Whether that’s a bio, an elevator pitch, affirmations, or mantras. With her storytelling toolkit, you’ll leave with a tangible expression of your story and a deeper clarity about who you are.
This journey comes with responsibility: once you’ve tapped into your story and felt the truth of it, you’ll begin showing up in the world as yourself. The ripple effect of that kind of authenticity is immeasurable.
