A scuba experience like no other! Palau is a true tropical paradise, famous not only for its incredible diving but also for its pristine beaches, lush jungles and rich cultural heritage.
From hidden lagoons and ancient rock islands to abundant marine life and crystal clear waters, every day in Palau is an adventure, even when you’re not underwater. On our second trip returning aboard the Palau Siren, we’ll once again explore these legendary sites in comfort and style.
2 days before the New Moon (the grand finale of our 10 night trip!), you will head out for sunrise to witness the breathtaking spectacle of hundreds of bumphead parrotfish gathering for their noisy mating ritual. Males collide head-to-head with thunderous bumps, asserting dominance, while their colours shift as they prepare to spawn. Rising from the sandy depths to the surface, they release their gametes in a dazzling, fireworks like display. And you get to watch it all unfold firsthand - a truly unique experience that we’ll never forget!
Divers should have a minimum of 50 logged dives and be comfortable navigating strong currents, which are common at many of Palau’s world-renowned sites.
A PADI Advanced Open Water certification (or equivalent) is required to ensure divers have the skills needed for drift dives and more complex underwater conditions.
For guests wishing to participate in specialty dives, such as bumphead parrotfish spawning dives or blackwater dives (when offered), prior night diving experience is required. These dives provide some of the most memorable and unique encounters Palau has to offer, but they also require confidence in low-light conditions and precise buoyancy control.
Water temperatures range from 28-30°C (82-86°F), and visibility is typically between 20-40 meters (65–130 feet), offering crystal clear views of coral reefs, marine life and underwater formations. These ideal conditions make Palau a dream destination for both experienced divers and those looking to take their skills to the next level.
Palau Siren
Launched in 2012, the 40m Palau Siren Liveaboard was built on the Indonesian island of Sulawesi and is handcrafted from ironwood and teak (traditional to the area). You will find no other diving liveaboard as beautiful in Palau waters and, being built by divers for divers, you can be rest assured that every need has been thought of and addressed.
All cabins have individually controlled air conditioning and ensuite bathrooms with hot water. Palau Siren also benefits from 2 shaded, high-bottom, fibreglass skiffs, nitrox compressor, equipment rental and kayaks.
Twin Room
The spacious fixed twin cabins are equipped with individually controlled air-conditioning units, ensuite bathrooms and plenty of storage space. You will be paired with a fellow female diver, or if you are booking with a friend just let us know and we will room you together!
Double Room
Palau Siren has two fixed double bed cabins located at the bow which are fitted with individually controlled air-conditioning units, offer plenty of storage space as well as en-suite bathrooms. This is an option for a couple/friends willing to share a double bed . This cannot be booked as an individual looking to share with a roommate.
