12 Night Serengeti and Zanzibar Motorcycle Safari

Circle Kilimanjaro, cross the Serengeti, and unwind in Zanzibar
12 Night Serengeti and Zanzibar Motorcycle Safari image

From Rift Valley tracks to Indian Ocean tides: a 12-night Tanzania moto journey with two nights in the Serengeti. Ride big-sky savannahs, soak up golden hours, then exhale in Zanzibar’s warm, blue water. Bucket-list terrain, dialed logistics, zero fluff.

Experience the ultimate Tanzania motorcycle tour—a guided multi-day ride from Arusha across northern Tanzania’s signature ADV terrain. Begin at Lake Natron’s volcanic Rift Valley scenery, cruise through Mto wa Mbu, then park the bikes for a bucket-list Serengeti safari (off the bikes) with sunrise game drives. Ride back via the edge of Arusha National Park, the foothills of West Kilimanjaro, and the Enduimet Wildlife Management Area, before exploring Moshi's lush coffee and waterfalls and soaking in Chemka (Kikuletwa) Hot Springs near Arusha.

Cap the journey in Zanzibar: wander Stone Town, enjoy a coastal ride along Jambiani’s white-sand shoreline, and relax by the Indian Ocean before departure. This itinerary blends adventure motorcycling in Tanzania with cultural encounters, wildlife, and beach time—our signature Tanzania & Zanzibar motorcycle tour for riders seeking epic scenery and expertly guided routes.

Difficulty Level: This tour is best for intermediate riders. You should have some experience on varying types of off-road terrain.

Departure from iRideArusha

Riding through the Great Rift Valley

The Great Rift Valley is one of the world’s most dramatic geological features, stretching over 6,000 kilometers from Lebanon to Mozambique. In Tanzania, it carves through ancient volcanic landscapes and vast plains, where early humans once walked. Formed by tectonic forces slowly pulling the earth’s crust apart, it’s home to towering escarpments, soda lakes, and active volcanoes like Ol Doinyo Lengai. Riding through the Rift is like traveling through deep time—past the birthplace of humanity and into the heart of East Africa’s wild beauty.

By sunset, with golden light falling across the acacia trees, you’ll understand why this place defines the word “wild.”

About Us

About Us image

iRideArusha

iRideArusha started as a dream between the two of us. I’m Kevin, originally from Chicago, where riding motorcycles gave me a sense of freedom and connection that shaped my early twenties. My wife, Sylvia, grew up in Tanzania and has always carried a deep love for this country—its people, landscapes, and traditions. Together, we decided to move here with the vision of sharing Tanzania in a way that felt real and adventurous.

That vision became iRideArusha.com. What began as our passion project has grown into tours, rentals, and riding experiences that let travelers discover Tanzania far beyond the typical safari. Every itinerary blends my love for adventure with Sylvia’s knowledge of the land and culture, creating journeys that are as much about connection as they are about riding. For us, it’s not just about motorcycles—it’s about opening the door to freedom, wonder, and the spirit of Tanzania.
