Boisterous males, nurturing females and energetic calves are abundant as the waters fill with playful behaviour and large groups of whales visiting this island paradise. We embark at around 7:00am every day from your accommodation for a day of swimming with the whales and snorkelling the pristine coral reefs, stopping only for lunch and to admire this marine haven.

Our team of Professional award winning photographers and Marine Biologists will be the tour leaders/hosts on your tours. Check out our team profiles for more information. Your tour leader will contact you 1-2 weeks before you depart, to introduce themselves.
Tour costs include 7 nights in a premium shared accommodation on beautiful Neiafu Harbour.
If you are missing something from your accommodation like towels or you need your room cleaned, we can arrange this. The accommodation is in a harbour-front property with beautiful views and basic conveniences, so it is not a hotel with a daily service so please let us know if you need some assistance.
The success of our trips is very much depending on the whales and weather conditions. Two things which are beyond our control. However, many years of experience has showed us that the period we operate these trips give the best chances for a great experience.

Our driver will be waiting for you at the airport and will take you to your accommodation (Check-in 1 pm). In the evening your guides will meet you for dinner and give you a briefing about the upcoming tour and what to expect during your time in Tonga.

Our driver will be waiting for you at your accommodation to take you to the airport (Checkout 10am). As flight schedules can change, we recommend confirming your flights the day before you leave.
The schedule above is a guide and things change often when you are on an Island in Tonga. The locals are on what we call ‘Tonga Time’, so don’t be disappointed if the skipper is late, or your meals are not served on time, or you don’t get exactly what you ask for, just relax and enjoy this tropical paradise.
Our boats are simple but reliable and are a great size for being around the whales. facilities onboard are basic, but if you need something specific we can look at options to make your day more comfortable.
Continental breakfast supplies will be at your accommodation, and lunches will be provided on the boat. For dinners, there are only 4 restaurants in Vava’u so we are limited by where we can take you. Meals may sometimes be repetitive. Suppliers are limited, but the Tongans will do their best to accommodate you.
We try to visit some of the most amazing snorkeling spots in Tonga as we search for the whales, including untouched coral reefs, caves and lagoons. But if you haven’t had enough after your days on the water there are always lots of other adventures:
