This tour is one of our low-cost price leaders for 2026! The other similar priced tours are the Muskegon and Bay City Great Lake to Lake Tours. Due to their very attractive prices, additional discounts are not available on these 3 tours.
Travel to Muskegon for the start of the tour. We are hosting an optional 30+ mile ride from Muskegon to Whitehall and back on paved rail trail, starting from the ferry dock about 10:30 a.m. This allows for time for our guests from Milwaukee to disembark, change into a bike outfit, and deliver their luggage to our waiting sag vehicle.
For guests who arrive on the 4 p.m. ferry, we'll meet them at the dock to pick up luggage, but they're expected to ride the 6-miles to our hotel.
All guests will join us for guest orientation and dinner in the evening.
Anyone arriving on the 10:30 ferry from Milwaukee will have to arrange to get to the hotel on their own.
Optional tire dip in Lake Michigan to mark the start of the journey, plus an optional afternoon paved rail trail ride to Whitehall, 20 & 30 mile options.

Today we finish our riding to the southern end of the White Pine Trail at Comstock Park. Newly paved, you'll love the ride today.
We ride from Comstock Park to Muskegon, originally planned on the Musketawa Trail, but the west half of the trail is closed for construction to at least July 2026. It may be open by the time we get there, which means you'll be among the first to ride on about 20 miles of brand new paved trail!
Ferry crossing to Milwaukee: departures are scheduled daily at 10:15 a.m., 4:45 p.m., and 11 p.m. We expect most guests will arrive in time to make the 4:45 crossing. Our staff will deliver all luggage to the ferry dock by 4 p.m. Guests waiting for the 11 p.m. ferry will be responsible for their own luggage after about 4 p.m.
If construction is not complete, we do have routing on county and township roads around the construction. Tour Chief Jim rode these in October 2025 and found a wonderful combination of low traffic and good pavement.
