Helsinki! Stockholm! Copenhagen! Oslo! Take a train to Flåm, before getting on an express boat through Norway’s longest and deepest fjord – Søgnefjord, and ending in the coastal city of Bergen.

OPTIONAL:
8-day tour extension in ICELAND before or after the NORDICS tour.

Full itinerary

Friday, May 21
Arrival into Helsinki. Meet your deaf guide at the airport and check into your hotel. Visit the Light House, owned by Finnish Deaf Association. Leisurely walk about at Suomenlinna Fortress. Kauppatori (Market Square). Walk along Aleksanterinkatu including a visit at Kamppi Chapel. Welcome dinner. Overnight in Helsinki.

Saturday, May 22
Grand tour of Helsinki with local deaf guide. Senate Square. Helsinki Cathedral. Sibelius Monument. Temppeliaukio (Rock) Church. Head over to the South Harbor by 4:00 pm for our overnight cruise from Helsinki to Stockholm.

Sunday, May 23
Breakfast onboard before disembarking and transferring to a hotel in Stockholm. Grand tour of Stockholm with local deaf guide. Gamla Stan (Old Town. Royal Palace. Stadshuset (City Hall). Vasa Museum. Sleep in Stockholm for 2 nights.

Monday, May 24
Open day with optional excursions. Stockholm Deaf Association’s Dövas Hus. Ride the SkyView gondola to the top of the world’s largest spherical building, Ericsson Globe, for a fantastic view encompassing all of Stockholm. Drottningholm Palace. Check out cutting edge galleries at Södermalm. Djurgarden. Stockholm Archipelago.

Tuesday, May 25
Depart from Stockholm to Copenhagen via high speed train. Rådhuset (Town Hall). Strøget shopping street. Rundetaarn. Evening at the Tivoli Gardens. Sleep in Copenhagen for 2 nights.

Wednesday, May 26
Grand tour of Copenhagen with local deaf guide. Rosenborg Castle. Amalienborg Palace. Statue of Little Mermaid.  Canal boat cruise from Nyhavn. Church of Our Saviour. The alternative hippie commune at Christiania. 

Thursday, May 27
Open day with optional excursions. Ride bicycles around the city (as a lot of people ride bicycles in Copenhagen). Strøget shopping street. Christiansborg Palace. Ny Carlsberg Glyptotek. National Museum of Denmark. Carlsberg Brewery. Louisiana Museum of Modern Art. Grundtvig Church. The David Collection. Kronborg Castle. Frederiksborg Palace. Head over to the Søndre Frihavn by 3:15 pm for our overnight cruise from Copenhagen to Oslo.

Friday, May 28
Breakfast onboard before disembarking and transferring to a hotel in Oslo. Grand tour of Oslo with local deaf guide. Norsk Folkemuseum. Kon-tiki Museum. Fram Museum. Sleep in Oslo for 2 nights. 

Saturday, May 29
Morning visit at Vigeland Park as well as Munch Museum. Free time in the afternoon including taking a stroll along Karl Johansgate, which is the main street of Oslo. 

Sunday, May 30
Morning train from Oslo to Myrdal then to Flåm. Overnight in Flåm. 

Monday, May 31
Morning at leisure in Flåm. Then a 5-hour express boat alongside Norway’s longest and deepest fjord: Søgnefjord. Arrive into Bergen in the evening. Sleep in Bergen for 2 nights. 

Tuesday, June 1
Grand tour of Bergen. Bryggen. Fløibanen Funicular. Fish and Flower Market. And some free time. Farewell dinner. 

Wednesday, June 2
After breakfast, transfer to the airport for your flight back home.

Dan has been to 92 countries including Bolivia, Cuba, Mongolia, Morocco, Myanmar, North Korea and Uzbekistan. He has also presented at Deaf Youth Leadership Camps in Germany and Thailand as well as team-coordinating an exchange program between two deaf schools in Kentucky, USA and Kamensk, Russia.

  • Services of a deaf Tour Leader on call 24 hours a day.

  • All transportation expenses.
