For this culinary journey, however, we focus on the region of Lyon, widely recognized as the world capital of gastronomy. This immersive experience introduces students to the heart of French food culture through visits to local markets, encounters with skilled artisans, tastings of regional specialties, and hands-on cooking demonstrations. Throughout the program, students explore not only flavors and techniques, but also the deep connection between food, tradition, and daily life in France—gaining a meaningful understanding of how cuisine reflects history, culture, and identity.
