Welcome to the Art of Islamic Pattern Granada/Córdoba Field Trip
Our base will be at the Cultural Centre next to the Granada Mosque.
Tuesday will be spent in Córdoba and Wednesday will be spent at the Alhambra.
There will be 2 sessions each day roughly 10.30am – 1.30pm and 3.30-6pm in accordance to Spanish routine. We recommend orientating yourself around Plaza Nueva in Granada, which is a long square at the base of the valley between the Alhambra and the Albaicin. Most buses arrive nearby and it’s at the foot of the path that leads up to the Alhambra.

Practical Classes Location

Travel from Granada to Córdoba – Sunday 4 April 2027
For participants joining both our Granada and Córdoba study trips, we recommend travelling between the two cities by train on Sunday 4 April.
The train is the easiest and most comfortable option, with direct services taking approximately 1 hour 30 minutes to 2 hours between Granada and Córdoba Central stations.
Tickets can be booked through Renfe, Spain's national railway operator. We recommend booking in advance once tickets become available, particularly as this is a popular travel period.
Both railway stations are conveniently located, with taxis readily available for transfers to your accommodation.

Our base will be at the Casa Árabe close to the
Mezquita Mosque in Cordoba. Wednesday will be
spent in Seville.
There will be 2 sessions each day roughly 10.30am –
1.30pm and 3.30- 6pm in accordance to Spanish
routine.
