A Busy Day: Departure for Some; Pompeii and Rome for Others

*All those who arrived in Naples for the Classic Cities Tour will be picked up from a central location to begin their tour with the group.

Disembark after breakfast. Guests ending with the sailing week will be transferred to the airport for departure.

New guests, who have signed up for Package 4: Italy's Classic Cities, will be picked up from their hotel in Naples and join everyone who selected Package 1 and 2. Everyone will travel inland to Pompeii for a guided visit before continuing onto Rome for a late check-in.

Step back nearly 2,000 years as you explore Pompeii with a licensed guide, walking ancient stone streets frozen in time by the eruption of Mount Vesuvius. A typical visit includes the Forum, bath complexes, theater areas, and remarkably preserved homes with frescoes and courtyards that reveal daily Roman life—bakeries, shops, and public squares included. When available, you’ll also see the famous plaster casts of victims, a powerful reminder of the city’s final day, before continuing onward.
