10 Days / 8 Nights | Tokyo & Kyoto

AIST’s Japan Team Tour combines international competition, world-class cultural experiences, and full-service travel support. Teams will compete against local clubs or national-level programs while exploring iconic destinations like Tokyo and Kyoto. This program is fully customizable for all AIST sports and designed to balance competition, team bonding, and cultural immersion.

Sports Available for Competition

Baseball – One of Japan’s premier sports with an exceptional competitive structure at the high school, university, club, and corporate levels. Exhibition games, joint training sessions, and cultural exchanges can be arranged with local teams, offering a high-quality and disciplined style of play that provides an outstanding international experience.

Basketball – Strong school, university, and club systems across Japan provide excellent competition opportunities at multiple levels, including exhibition games and joint training sessions.

Field Hockey – Well-organized university and club programs allow for exhibition matches and technical exchanges with local teams.

Lacrosse – Rapidly growing at the university and club level in Japan. Competitive exhibition matches and training sessions can be arranged with collegiate teams and local clubs, with opportunities to attend or participate in tournaments and clinics.

Pickleball – Expanding in major cities such as Tokyo and Osaka. Friendly matches, clinics, and facility access can be coordinated for traveling teams.

Soccer (Football) – One of Japan’s most popular sports with strong academies, university programs, and club teams. Exhibition matches and training sessions can be arranged at a high competitive level.

Softball – Highly respected sport in Japan with strong high school, university, and corporate teams. Excellent opportunities for competitive games and cultural exchanges.

Volleyball – Premier sport in Japan with elite club and university programs. High-level competition and joint training sessions available for both indoor and beach volleyball teams.

Sample Itinerary - Japan

Day 1 – Depart USA

Depart from your preferred international airport for Japan.
Overnight flight.


Day 2 – Arrival Tokyo

Arrive in Tokyo and meet AIST tour managers.
Private transfer to hotel.
Welcome dinner with group.
Overnight: Tokyo (5 nights)


Day 3 – Practice + Tokyo Exploration

Breakfast at hotel.
Optional team practice session.
Visit Shibuya Crossing and surrounding district.
Group dinner included.


Day 4 – Game Day + Culture

Guided visit to Asakusa Sensoji Temple.
Explore Nakamise Street.
Game #1 vs local club or academy.
Optional pro match viewing.
Overnight: Tokyo.


Day 5 – Game Day

Game #2 vs local team.
Free time for shopping and exploring Tokyo.
Group dinner included.


Day 6 – Cultural Experience

Samurai experience or sushi-making class.
Free afternoon for sightseeing.
Dinner on own.


Day 7 – Bullet Train to Kyoto

Travel via Shinkansen bullet train.
Visit Kinkakuji (Golden Pavilion).
Group dinner included.
Overnight: Kyoto (3 nights)


Day 8 – Kyoto Exploration

Visit Fushimi Inari Shrine.
Hike to scenic viewpoints.
Dinner on own.


Day 9 – Bamboo Forest + Farewell
