The pink city of Jaipur, including Amber Fort and Hawa Mahal.  The white city of Udaipur where the picturesque Jag Niwas (Lake Palace) sits in middle of Lake Pichola. The beautiful Jain temple in Ranakpur with 1,444 uniquely carved columns. The blue city of Jodhpur with the massive Mehrangarh Fort rising on a sheer rocky ridge. Sleep in tents in the desert at Manvar. The golden city of Jaisalmer with beautiful havelis and fairytale fort.

Full itinerary

Sunday, November 5
Arrival in Delhi. Afternoon visits: Gurudwara Bangla Sahib, India Gate, Rashtrapati Bhawan, Sansad Bhawan, Indira Gandhi Memorial Museum and Gandhi Smriti. Welcome dinner with deaf Indian friends at a family home. Stay 2 nights in Delhi.

Monday, November 6
Morning rickshaw ride through Chandni Chowk; visit Jama Masjid. Afternoon: Humayun’s Tomb and Qutab Minar. Optional: Lotus Temple or Delhi Haat and Khan Market. 

Tuesday, November 7
Drive about 4 hours to Agra, former Mughal capital. Visit the red sandstone Agra Fort and Itmad-ud-daulah Tomb, a precursor to the Taj Mahal. After lunch, explore the Taj Mahal and enjoy its changing colors at sunset. Overnight in Agra.

Wednesday, November 8
Morning drive to Jaipur with a stop at Fatehpur Sikri. After check-in and lunch, visit Jantar Mantar Observatory, City Palace and the iconic Hawa Mahal (Palace of Winds). In the evening, attend an Arti ceremony at Birla Temple. Stay in Jaipur for 2 nights.

Thursday, November 9
Enjoy the unique experience of riding up to Amber Fort (by elephant or jeep), exploring its courtyards, halls and palace chambers set against rugged hills. After lunch, wander through Jaipur’s colorful bazaars, famous for textiles, jewelry and handicrafts. Visit Ram Niwas Garden, one of the city’s most beautiful green spaces.

Friday, November 10
Full-day scenic drive (approx. 10 hours) through rural Rajasthan, passing villages, temples and fields, to Udaipur, the romantic “White City.” Check into the hotel and enjoy free time in the evening.  Stay in Udaipur for 2 nights.

Saturday, November 11
Discover the grand City Palace complex, including the Crystal Gallery and Vintage & Classic Car Collection. Visit Jagdish Temple, Saheliyon Ki Bari (Garden of the Maidens), Fateh Sagar Lake and the Pratap Memorial. Explore local bazaars before taking a late afternoon boat ride on Lake Pichola, passing Jagmandir and the famous Lake Palace.

Sunday, November 12
Morning excursion to the ancient temples of Eklinji and Nagda. Lunch at Devi Garh, a beautifully restored heritage fort hotel perched dramatically on a rocky hill. Afterwards, explore the 450-year-old Dilwara Village with its exquisitely carved Jain temples. 

OPTIONAL: Bicycling excursion through the countryside in the morning.

Monday, November 13
Drive to Jodhpur, stopping at the magnificent Jain temple complex of Ranakpur, featuring 1,444 uniquely carved marble columns. After arrival and lunch, explore Jodhpur’s old city on foot, visiting traditional neighborhoods and lively bazaars filled with textiles, spices, sweets and silver. Stay in Jodhpur for 2 nights.

Tuesday, November 14
Visit the spectacular Mehrangarh Fort rising dramatically above the city, followed by Jaswant Thada, a beautiful marble cenotaph. In the afternoon, enjoy a jeep safari to Bishnoi villages, where you will learn about this 450-year-old community known for living in harmony with nature. Visit local artisans specializing in pottery, weaving and metalwork.

Wednesday, November 15
Drive to Manvar and check into your desert camp surrounded by sand dunes. Visit a traditional desert home to learn about local life, then enjoy a camel ride across the dunes. Watch the sun set over the desert before returning to camp for a festive evening with music, dance and a campfire dinner. Sleep in tents in the desert at Manvar. 

Thursday, November 16
Early morning excursion to Kichan to see thousands of migratory birds, including Siberian cranes. Continue to Jaisalmer, the “Golden City,” and check in. In the late afternoon, explore the town and visit the royal cenotaphs of Bara Bagh at sunset. Stay in Jaisalmer for 2 nights.

Friday, November 17
Explore the 12th-century Jaisalmer Fort crowning Trikuta Hill and visit intricately carved havelis built by wealthy merchants. In the late afternoon, head to Sam Sand Dunes for another camel ride and panoramic desert sunset.

Saturday, November 18
Drive approximately 6 hours to Jodhpur for your flight to Delhi. Transfer to the hotel. In the evening, celebrate your journey with a farewell dinner at a deaf family residence together with members of the local deaf community. Overnight in Delhi.

Sunday, November 19
After breakfast, we transfer to the airport for your flights back home.
