Our brand new self-guided Slovenia trail running vacation: Alps to Adriatic allows you to run from the impressive mountains of the Julian Alps, Slovenia to the Mediterranean town of Piran by the Adriatic Sea. You'll run on amazing trails with local gourmet and untouched nature surpluses while staying in 3/4-star hotels every evening. 

Slovenia offers ample opportunities for running and vacation, and we're now offering 8 days, 7 nights of a self-guided week-long Slovenia Runcation. In addition to beautiful and first-class running opportunities, Slovenia offers a truly “healthy” natural environment. Clean rivers, crystal clear alpine lakes and vast forested areas offer natural diversity, good quality air and drinking water at almost every corner. The runner is also offered delicious locally produced food and a varied culinary offer. At least basic infrastructure is provided almost at every step, which offers safe running even in remote areas. Slovenia with the wider area of the Julian Alps, Karst region and Adriatic Sea offers all what trail runner looking for. Welcome to trail running paradise!

Must have a valid passport valid through 6 months upon date of travel.

Fitness/Pacing:

This trip requires participants to be able to run for 7-12 miles on trails at a time in mountainous/high altitude climates with an elevation gain of 1,000-3,800 feet per day. Training for this trip is highly recommended, and you can participate in the 12-week group training program designed specifically for this trip as a package add-on to ensure you're able to tackle the trails and get maximum enjoyment of this running retreat! 


Weather:

Although the weather in late summer is often ideal, weather in the mountains is variable and trail conditions are subject to change on an hourly basis! Route subjective to change based on the safety of conditions and climate of the trail.

Afternoon option: Sava Bohinjka river Run.
