This morning, you'll meet your knowledgeable driver guide at the hotel. On the Golden Circle tour, you'll experience some of Iceland's most iconic landmarks: the world's oldest parliament at Þingvellir, the geothermal wonders of Geysir, and the majestic Gullfoss waterfall.
Þingvellir National Park is a UNESCO World Heritage Site where Iceland's parliament, the Alþingi, was established in 930 AD. Here, you can walk between the visible edges of the Eurasian and North American tectonic plates, making Þingvellir both a geological and historical marvel.
Next, head to the Geysir geothermal area, where boiling springs dot the landscape. This area is home to Geysir itself, the original hot spring that lent its name to geysers around the world, and Strokkur, which erupts every 5–10 minutes, launching hot water 25–30 meters into the sky.
Your final stop is Gullfoss, or the "Golden Waterfall," one of Iceland's most beloved natural attractions. This powerful waterfall plunges 32 meters in two stages into a rugged canyon, offering breathtaking views from multiple vantage points.
Next is lunch at Fridheimar, a farm-to-fork concept restaurant based inside a hydroponic tomato farm greenhouse, where you get to taste everything made from tomatoes. Enjoy a feast of the famous Friðheimar tomato soup with fresh-baked bread – with tomato plants all around!
After lunch, you'll take a drive to a unique natural geothermal pool before returning to Reykjavik for the night.
