About your trip

Looking for a fabulous spring getaway? Join Blue Planet for a week filled with scuba diving, freediving and island adventure in Grenada! Spend 3 days scuba diving over beautiful reefs and mysterious wrecks and then 3 days stretching your limits as a freediver. When you're NOT underwater, explore the island's stunning topside with hikes, chocolate tours, rum distillery visits and delicious food!

Grenada

Grenada is a captivating eco-tourism paradise nestled in the heart of the Caribbean, where the allure of nature meets the thrill of adventure. Every moment promises pure adventure, natural splendor, rich heritage and culinary delights.

Grenada is a haven for adventure seekers, beckoning with a myriad of thrilling experiences including hiking through untouched rainforests, journeying to the summit of breathtaking mountain peaks and diving into the crystal-clear pools of our 14 waterfalls.

Amazing shipwrecks, colorful reefs and exciting drifts create a diver’s wonderland. Most of the dive sites are concentrated around the south and west coasts. You could easily dive just wrecks on Grenada, but you would miss reefs, walls and the underwater sculpture parks that are prolific marine ecosystems.

Scuba Diving

Minimum dive certification/experience:  Perfect for beginners!

On the border between the Atlantic Ocean and the Caribbean Sea, Grenada offer some of the best diving in the region. Vibrant coral reefs, plankton-rich offshore currents and amazing topography places Grenada’s reefs at the top of the list for reef diving. Large pelagic life – including eagle rays, and resident nurse sharks, along with migrating manta rays and grazing sea turtles are all common – making our dives an experience you don’t want to miss!

Grenada, often referred to as the "Wreck Capital of the Caribbean," is home to over 15 wrecks – featuring the ‘MV Bianca C’, the largest shipwreck in the region and one of the Caribbean’s premier dive locations.

Freediving

Interested in exploring the underwater world without bubbles? Our friends at Eco Dive Grenada are hosting Live Free Diving for several days of freediving training and practice. Dive deeper, stay down longer, and reconnect with the ocean in a whole new way.

We'll head out on the boat for free immersion and constant weight dives in blue water. Or we can visit Grenada's Wonder of the World – the world’s first Underwater Sculpture Park and local reefs for more practice! Check out the Itinerary below for a schedule.

Other activities

When you aren't underwater, there's plenty more to keep you occupied. Or not! Relax on the beach, escape into the rain forests, wash away your worries at the island's 15 waterfalls, or experience the local village vibe at any of the 80+ villages.

As the ‘Spice of the Caribbean’ Grenada is known for its cuisine – spices, chocolates, and rum.  From fine dining to casual beachside restaurants and even street food, it is undeniable that Grenadians have a taste and flair for delicious food. Visit the chocolate factory or a rum distillery, a local brewery and much more.

Seabreeze

We will be saying at the Seabreeze hotel, located steps away from the famous Grand Anse Beach, shops, banks, restaurants, beach bars and public transportation and a short walk from the dive shop.  All rooms are en-suite and have a spectacular view of the sea from the balcony. Each suite comes with comfortable beds, fridge, microwave, kettle, AC and Wi-Fi. There's also an outdoor lounge with a full kitchen, gas stove & barbecue for grilling.

Travel

Round-trip flights to Grenada are around $600 and go up from there. You should plan to arrive at the hotel on April 6th. When leaving, choose any flight on April 13th, but if you're diving the day before, opt for one leaving after 1 PM. Please contact the shop before booking your flights.

Cancellation Policy

Upon cancellation of a reservation for any reason, the refund of the deposit and payments made or due will be contingent upon Blue Planet reselling the participant's reservation. Any refund may also be subject to a $250 cancellation fee and payment of any non-refundable fees imposed by the tour company, dive operator or any other contractor associated with the trip.
