About your trip

In 2016, our journey began with the intention of assisting travelers in uncovering the diverse history of black culture in Brazil. The mission started after a sabatic 03 months trip of the founder, Carina Santos.

Since then, we have successfully connected with over 500 travelers, with a majority being individuals of black descent. Our objective is not merely to sell travel packages, but to offer a stress-free experience and cultural immersion. There are no automated messages, and there are no long wait times for a response.

We extend a warm welcome to travelers from all corners of the globe, as we strongly believe in the importance of supporting the black travel movement and its transformative impact.

Travel isn't just a hobby, it's our way of life.

about Amazon Forest

The Amazon rainforest is one of the biggest vacation destinations in South America.

It is home to an incredible diversity of plants and animals, as well as several indigenous communities, important in building the country's identity.

Visiting the Amazon rainforest means enjoying a variety of activities, including hiking, canoeing and connecting with nature.

Here are some tips for planning your vacation in the Amazon rainforest:

* Choose the right time of year to go. The dry season (June to November) is the best time to visit, as the trails are drier and there are fewer mosquitoes.

* Pack appropriately. You will need to bring light, comfortable clothing, insect repellent, sunscreen and a hat.

Be prepared for the unexpected. The Amazon rainforest is a special place where the visit is guided by the weather conditions, and it is important to be open to possible changes to the itinerary.

Amazon Forest :: Day 01

Day 01

Dive into adventure with an early morning departure (8:00 am) from the hotel!

We'll whisk you away to the harbor, where a speedboat awaits to zip across the river towards Careiro village.

Keep your eyes peeled for the stunning "Meeting of the Waters" where two rivers converge. Upon arrival in Careiro, we'll hop into a van for a scenic 60-minute ride to Paraná do Mamori. Here, another speedboat will take you to your home for the next two days: Juma Lake Camp House!

After settling into your accommodations and enjoying a delicious lunch, it's time for the real fun to begin. Paddle through the lush Amazon on a canoe tour, casting your line for feisty piranhas. Keep your eyes peeled for playful dolphins gliding alongside your canoe!

Back at the lodge, refuel with dinner before another exciting canoe adventure. This time, we'll be on the hunt for impressive caimans. Your expert guide will not only show you these prehistoric giants, but may even catch a smaller one to explain their fascinating biology.  Want a unique photo op?  Here's your chance to snap a picture holding a (harmlessly restrained) caiman! After all this adventure, rest easy back at the lodge for a comfortable night's sleep.

As the first rays of dawn paint the sky, embark on a magical pre-breakfast adventure! Immerse yourself in the symphony of the Amazon as you embark on a birdwatching tour. Listen to the awakening calls of exotic birds, their vibrant plumage a splash of color against the vibrant sunrise.

Returning to the lodge, savor a delicious breakfast to fuel your day's expedition.  At 8:00 am, your jungle adventure truly begins!  Join your expert guide for an ecological trek through the lush rainforest canopy.  Unravel the secrets of the Amazon as you learn about fascinating medicinal plants and ingenious jungle survival techniques. Keep your eyes peeled for incredible wildlife sightings - from creepy crawlies like spiders to a captivating array of monkeys and slow-moving sloths.

Remember, while sightings aren't guaranteed, Juma Lake's status as a protected area means the chances of encountering these amazing creatures are very high!

After a satisfying lunch, gear up for an overnight stay deep within the jungle's heart. Here, you'll witness the vibrant tapestry of nocturnal life unfold. Observe the fascinating creatures that emerge under the cloak of darkness, and gain even more invaluable jungle survival skills.  Test your hand at spear fishing, a traditional technique used by indigenous people for generations.

Drift off to sleep lulled by the sounds of the rainforest, ready for another exciting day of Amazon exploration.
