We depart early morning for our spring motor coach tour from Champaign to Little Rock, AR. We will stop for lunch (included) along the drive including rest stops. Early evening, we will arrive in Little Rock, AR for our 2-night stay at the downtown Courtyard by Marriott. Choose from one of the many local restaurants near the hotel for dinner (on your own). Enjoy a hot continental breakfast (included) at the hotel before we depart for a driving tour of the Quapaw Quarter Historic Homes which consists of most of the city’s oldest buildings, including some that date from before the Civil War, but generally date from about 1880 to 1920, This historic neighborhood comprises an outstanding collection of Queen Anne, Colonial Revival and Craftsman architecture, including 1880 Villa Marre that was featured in the TV sitcom “Designing Women”. We continue our driving tour with a “surprise stop” before returning to the hotel for an afternoon of leisure to discover downtown Little Rock.
Explore local restaurants for lunch (on your own) with your friends. Spend the afternoon at the Clinton Presidential Center, Heifer International Center or taking the trolley that meanders through downtown and North Little Rock discovering local shops and antique store. The choice is yours!
Early evening, we depart the hotel for Murry’s Dinner Playhouse for our buffet dinner (included) and comedy “Perfect Wedding”. Late evening, we return to the hotel for a night of rest and relaxation. (B, D)

Enjoy a hot continental breakfast (included) at the hotel before we depart for Roland, AR. Today, we will tour and lunch at P. Allen Smith’s Garden Home and Moss Mountain Farm. Paul Allen Smith is a public television host, garden designer, conservationist, and lifestyle expert. Currently, he is the host of three television programs - P. Allen Smith’s Garden Home, Garden Style and P. Allen Smith’s Garden to Table. He is author of gardening, cooking and home-entertaining books.
Mid-afternoon, we will depart for Bentonville, AR. Upon arrival, we will stop for dinner (included) at a local downtown Bentonville restaurant before departing for the Courtyard by Marriott for our 3-night stay. (B, L, D)
P. Allen Smith’s Garden Home and Moss Mountain Farm
Enjoy a hot continental breakfast (included) at the hotel before we depart for downtown Bentonville. We begin today with a tour the Walmart Museum & Visitor Center tracing the growth of Walmart Store, Inc. and Sam Walton’s original variety store Walton 5 & 10. We continue on our tour to world renown Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art, founded in 2011 by Alice Walton, daughter of Sam Walton. Upon arrival, we begin with a guided Highlight Art Collection tour of the art museum before enjoying lunch (on you own) at the museum’s Eleven restaurant. After lunch, spend your time discovering the museum’s extensive art collections including the reconstruction of a classic Frank Lloyd Wright’s Bachman-Wilson House located on the museum grounds along with the numerous gardens, sculptural art and nature hiking trails. Mid-afternoon, we will depart for The Momentary, a new contemporary art space satellite to Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art for performing arts that will open at the end of February 2020 and founded by the Walton Family Foundation. This evening, we will enjoy dinner (included) at River Grille Steakhouse before returning to the hotel for a night of rest and relaxation. (B, D)
Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art
Enjoy a hot continental breakfast (included) at the hotel before departing for our tour of the 1875 Peel Mansion Museum and Heritage Gardens. The estate was originally a working farm and orchard but today has formal Victorian gardens.
After our mansion and garden tour, we depart for Terra Studios in Fayetteville, AR. Upon arrival, we will enjoy a bakery boxed lunch (included) before touring. Terra Studios, home of the original “Blue Bird of Happiness”, is a wonderland of art and creativity including many artists and glass blowing demonstrations.
Mid-afternoon, we will make a “surprise stop” before returning to Bentonville for dinner (included) at Fred’s Hickory Inn. After dinner, we return to the hotel for a night of rest and relaxation. (B, L, D)
Peel Mansion Museum and Heritage Gardens
Enjoy a hot continental breakfast (included) at the hotel before departing early morning for home. We will stop for a short visit at Mildred B. Cooper Memorial Chapel designed by a student of Frank Lloyd Wright. The chapel is constructed entirely of glass and steel with 15 main arches including four Gothic arches.
As we continue on our drive, we will stop for lunch (included) at Sybill’s Saint James before we make our way home to Champaign with wonderful memories of our spring motor coach adventure of art, architecture and gardens through Arkansas.
