The Spirit of Puglia
Puglia (or Apulia in English) is one of Italy’s most distinctive regions — a place where history, landscape, and tradition blend into a culture unlike anywhere else in the country.
Between two seas, where olive trees meet endless skies, lies Puglia — a land of warmth, rhythm, and timeless beauty. Ancient stone villages glow white in the sun, and the scent of wild herbs drifts through the air. Meals are shared with laughter, made from earth, sea, and heart.
This is a place where tradition still dances — in the music of pizzica, in the swirl of handmade pasta, in the open hands of its people.
🌿 A Land Between Two Seas
Puglia stretches between the Adriatic and Ionian Seas, giving it over 800 km of coastline — the longest of any Italian region. This creates a culture deeply connected to the sea, with fishing traditions, coastal cuisine, and a relaxed, sunlit rhythm of life.
🫒 The Heart of Olive Oil Country
Puglia produces about 40% of Italy’s olive oil. Ancient olive groves, some thousands of years old, define the landscape. Olive oil isn’t just a product here — it’s part of family heritage, local identity, and daily ritual.
🏛️ Ancient Roots & Layered History
From Greek settlers to Roman roads, Norman castles, and Baroque churches, Puglia’s architecture and towns reflect a fascinating mix of cultures. Each village has its own dialect, festival, and local pride. Towns like Alberobello (with its trulli houses) and Lecce (the “Florence of the South”) tell unique stories through stone and style.
🍝 Simple, Soulful Cuisine
Apulian cuisine is rooted in simplicity and seasonality — a “cucina povera” tradition born from humble ingredients turned into masterpieces. Handmade orecchiette pasta, fresh seafood, burrata cheese, and sun-dried tomatoes are local staples. Meals are slow, social, and deeply tied to the land.
💃 Warmth, Music, and Celebration
The spirit of Puglia is joyful and expressive. Traditional music like pizzica (a lively folk dance) is central to many festivals, often held in the summer under the stars. Hospitality is heartfelt — people take pride in welcoming guests like family.
🏡 Timeless Architecture and Slow Living
Whitewashed towns like Ostuni, stone masserie (farmhouses turned retreats), and peaceful countryside settings capture the essence of “slow living.” Time stretches out here — perfect for reflection, yoga, and connection.
In the heart of the most beautiful Apulia, there is a family farm, turned into a resort, surrounded by lust countryside and not far from one of the most beautiful villages in Italy. The families heart, stories and love letters, are scattered throughout the reception area in true Italian family fashion. This property welcomes you with open arms to step into their home and experience Apulia the way their ancestors would have wanted you to.
You have the opportunity to stay inside a traditional, yet beautifully restored, Trullo. A Trullo is a traditional stone house, an architectural wonder and cultural icon, embodying Puglia’s history, simplicity, and connection to the land.
The resort offers 4 Trullis and a variety of classic rooms and suites, all with private bathrooms and outdoor seating/patio space. All rooms are finely furnished, comfortable and functional, with fine details so guests can have a relaxing experience.
