As much as we want for this trip to go exactly as planned, we can not plan for complications that arise especially due to inclement weather or closures due to extenuating circumstances like Covid-19.
While we hope that our trip attendees are vaccinated against COVID-19, we will not be requiring proof of vaccination to attend the trip. To ensure the safety of all GLTers on the trip, everyone will need to provide a negative covid test prior to the trip. Home tests are accepted. You can email it to glttrips.covid@gmail.com.

Girls LOVE Travel will not be giving any refunds for those who test positive and are not able to join the trip. We highly encourage travel insurance to cover instances like this.
We will be following all COVID protocols to ensure the safety of everyone on the trip. Please be prepared to bring a mask to wear, just in case.
Additionally, the tour is listed as a package, and no price adjustments will be given if someone wants to "opt-out" of an included activity.
Your spot will be secured when we receive a deposit of $250. Upon receipt, the deposit paid is nonrefundable and non-transferable.
Below are the payment schedules:
The remaining balance is due 60 days before departure
In the event that you need to cancel your trip, these fees will be applied:
• Between Now - 60 days before departure - GLT retains only nonrefundable deposit
• Between 46 - 59 days before departure - GLT retains 50% of the tour price
• Between 31 - 45 days before departure - GLT retains 75% of the tour price
• Less than 30 days before departure - GLT retains 100% of the entire tour price
ADD ONS - you can choose to add these up until 30 days before the trip.
Single room for the duration of the trip is an extra cost of $250.

Arrival:
We recommend arriving on the first day around 1:00 pm to GUA (Guatemala City). This leaves time to arrive, transfer to Antigua and check in to your hotel before the welcome dinner that evening.
Departure:
We recommend departing after 12:00 pm from GUA (Guatemala City) on the last day to allow time to have breakfast, and transfer to the airport.

Arrive in Guatemala where your Program Directors will be waiting to greet you at the airport and escort you via private shuttle to the charming town of La Antigua Guatemala, approximately 45 to 90 minutes from the airport depending on traffic.
We will have a welcome dinner with a short cooking class to kick off the trip. We will enjoy a delicious dinner and finish the night with a salsa class and an optional night out!

We will start the day with a walking Tour of Antigua to get oriented. Here we will mix historical facts with useful information and inside tips about modern everyday life in Antigua Guatemala. On our way, we’ll pass through Antigua Guatemala’s central park where we’ll talk a little more about the past and present history of the city, as well as point out some important landmarks.
We'll enjoy a tasty local lunch before heading out for our optional afternoon activities.

After breakfast, we will head to the charming village of San Juan del Obispo for chocolate and fruit wine tastings. Yum!
We will then head to learn all about Guatemalan coffee on a local tour, followed by a homemade lunch made by Don José. We will spend the afternoon at La Cerveceria.
In the evening, we will head to a farewell dinner to talk all about the trip and the memories we've made!

Enjoy breakfast together before making the trip to the airport to head back home. We recommend a flight after 12pm so you can enjoy breakfast, but anytime works for departure transfers.
