Your spot on this trip will be secured when we receive a deposit of $500.  Upon receipt, the deposit paid is nonrefundable and non-transferable.

The remaining balance is due by 60 days before departure date.

Cancellation and Refunds

In the event that you need to cancel your trip, these fees will be applied:

• Between Now-61 days before your arrival date, GLT retains only nonrefundable deposit 

• Between 60 and 46 days before your arrival date, GLT retains 50% of the entire tour price  

• Between 45 and 31 days before your arrival date, GLT retains 75% of the entire tour price 

• Between 30 days and duration of trip, GLT retains 100% of the entire tour price 

Arrival:

Arrive at Catania Airport (CTA) by 4 PM on the first day to ensure you're settled in time for our welcome meet and greet at 6 PM. A private driver will pick you up and take you to your accommodation.

Departure: 

Breakfast is included on your final day. Feel free to choose a time that lets you relax and enjoy the morning.

This trip is subject to a minimum attendance requirement. Therefore we recommend you contact us before you book your flight.  

In the event that we do not reach the minimum number, the trip may be cancelled/rescheduled. If this occurs, you will be refunded your deposit. 

Upon arrival, our driver will greet you at the airport and transfer you to the hotel. We’ll kick off the evening with a welcome reception in the hotel lobby, before heading to the heart of Taormina City Center. 

There, we'll embark on a marvelous adventure to uncover the secrets of Sicilian cuisine with a hands-on pasta class. Led by a passionate local chef, you’ll immerse yourself in the rich flavors of Sicily, creating authentic dishes in a charming, rustic kitchen. This experience isn’t just about cooking—it’s an opportunity to connect with the warm-hearted locals who keep Sicily’s timeless culinary traditions alive.

Sicily's rich history is shaped by a diverse range of civilizations, including the Phoenicians, Romans, Byzantines, Arabs, Normans, and Spanish, resulting in a fascinating blend of cultural influences.

After breakfast, we'll begin an engaging tour of Taormina to explore the town's unique character. Our first stop will be the Aragonese-style Porta Catania, followed by a stroll along the picturesque Corso Umberto, which once formed part of the ancient Roman street Via Valeria. As we walk this charming, car-free avenue, you'll have the chance to admire the town's oldest churches, historic monuments, and some of its finest shops, restaurants, and hotels, including the iconic San Domenico Palace and the new White Lotus Sicily location. 

The tour will culminate with a visit to the stunning Greek-Roman Theatre of Taormina. Built in the 3rd century BC, this grand venue is the second-largest in Sicily and hosts numerous cultural events throughout the year, including the notable G7 Summit in May 2017. 

Our tour will wrap up just after noon, leaving you plenty of time to enjoy lunch and spend a leisurely afternoon at your own pace.

Today is your "Name Your Own Adventure" day in Sicily! The island offers a wide array of experiences, so you can tailor your day exactly to your tastes. Explore the ancient ruins of the Valley of the Temples in Agrigento, stroll through the picturesque streets of Taormina, or take in the grandeur of Palermo’s historic markets and majestic cathedrals. If you’re a nature lover, visit the stunning beaches of San Vito Lo Capo. 

For a more relaxing day, you can unwind at the thermal baths in Cefalù or sip wine at a vineyard on the slopes of Etna. You might even venture out to the stunning island of Favignana, or enjoy a boat ride along the crystal-clear waters of the Mediterranean. With so much to choose from, Sicily invites you to create your own unforgettable adventure!

After breakfast, we'll head to Syracuse, where our local guide will kick off the Artisan workshop tour in the charming old town of Ortigia. During this walking tour, you'll discover Ortigia from a unique perspective by exploring its artisan shops and meeting the talented locals. As we stroll through the ancient streets, you'll admire the one-of-a-kind creations crafted by local artisans.

We'll be visiting three different artisans of the area: Ceramics/pottery, Leather goods, and Jewelry. 

At each workshop, you’ll learn fascinating historical and cultural insights that you won’t find in any book, and if you're interested, you can even try your hand at creating something yourself.

After the tour, enjoy some free time to wander the city, grab a snack, or sip a drink. Ortigia is a beautifully preserved, old European town full of charm!

We'll head back to our hotel and have our farewell dinner in Taormina.
