2 or 3 days Guyana from Suriname return

When you are in Suriname there is an option to visit the neighbor country Guyana - former British Guiana - in at least 2 days depending on what you want to experience. Guyana is the land of many waters and lot of remote tourism products in the interior. 

For the basic highlight tour and must surely to do in Guyana, we would recommend the historical city of Georgetown and the Kaieteur falls. 

Day 1:

We will depart from Suriname overland to Guyana, Georgetown. 

Your pickup is scheduled around 0430am in the morning with a shared bus transportation. 

The transfer to the ferry terminal is approximately 3,5 hours driving from Paramaribo city, depending on how many persons to picked up.

At the ferry terminal buy your ferry ticket with your passport and yellow fever vaccination.

fees are USd 50,- return or USD 30,- one way. 

At 10 am the ferry leaves Suriname and after 20 minutes - 30 minutes you arrive in Guyana, Berbice. After immigration formalities transfer to Georgetown city and drop off at your stay, based who is first in line to drop off. ( shared transfer) 

Overnight hotel

 Day 2

After breakfast our guide will pick you up to visit the highest wooden cathedral in South and North America. The botanical gardens and historical sites of Georgetown, The Seawall and even cross the mighty Essequibo River. You will experience the kolonial city and heritag during this 3 hour tours. 

After the city tour you will check into your flight to the Kaieteur falls. 

The flight time is 50 minutes and you will have 2 hours of ground time at the water falls. 

After this you will return back to Georgetown and transfer to your hotel 

Overnight hotel as night before. 

Note: Based on the flight schedule the guide will do the Kaieteur falls first or the city tour. You will be notified. 

Day 3

Today you will depart from Guyana back to Suriname. The pick up time at your hotel will be at around 0430 am and also 3 hours driving to the ferry terminal. You still have your ferry ticket with you. After arrival cross the river and immigration continu to Paramaribo city and drop off at your stay.
