Climbing the challenging summit of Sincholagua (4,873 m / 15,988 ft) is an ambitious target for getting more exposure in high altitude and as preparation for technical high-altitude climbs. This beautiful summit is in Cotopaxi National Park and offers wonderful views of the avenue of the volcanos. The hike is long, has very steep and instable parts. Therefore, it requires excellent preparation. Climbing a vertical wall towards the summit you finish the climb, before you descent afterwards rappelling. Definitely a trip of a lifetime - join us!

Technically the climb is long and has technical difficulties, good fitness is required and some previous experience highly recommended.

Another very important point is proper acclimatization. To really enjoy the climb we recommend at least one or two acclimatization climbs, including hikes in altitude and steadily increasing your sleeping altitude if possible.

Cancellation Conditions:

- 60 or more days prior to departure: the total amount paid will be refunded, less an administrative fee equal to 10% of the total price.

- 59 - 30 days prior to departure: a cancellation fee equivalent to 50% of the total price shall be retained.

- 29 and less days prior to departure: the entire total price shall be forfeited.

Change Conditions:

Any change of the purchased itinerary or services asked by the client before and during the trip will depend on availability, requires mutual agreement and will be subject to cancellation penalties of existing services.

APPROXIMATE TIMES (subject to change according to conditions and fitness level of participants - ONLY RECOMMENDED for climbers with excellent fitness and previous experience, ideally as part of a longer itinerary):

Early start at approx. 6.30 am, drive to the parking area in the Cotopaxi Natural Park, at the foot of Sincholagua summit, next to the Pita river. Very long and in parts challenging ascent to SINCHOLAGUA (4,873 m / 15,988 ft), approx. 4 - 5 hours to the summit finishing with a steep wall. Descent first rappelling and then back via the steep slopes down to the parking lot, transfer back to our accommodation.
