Join us as we retreat to Eirð, an exclusive water front retreat on Iceland's south coast. Eirð is located on a peninsula by Lake Gislholtsvatn, providing extra privacy with a connection to nature and an opportunity to practice mindfulness.
Icelandic locals describe September as the time of year to say goodbye to the midnight sun and hello to the northern lights. The earth seems to inhale in autumn, drawing its energy downward. This is a time to release old patterns, much like trees letting go of their leaves; a time to prepare inwardly for the silent, peaceful spirit of winter; a time to review our "harvest" of accomplishments and redefine our intentions. Attuning to this change of seasons is the perfect backdrop for a yoga retreat, giving ourselves quiet space for introspection, evaluation and contemplation. It can also be an opportunity to plan how we will spend the coming longer winter evenings - perhaps taking our cue from the earth to do less and savoring the darkness, without which their would be no light!
Our yoga practices will reflect the the calm, expansive spirit of Iceland and the seasonal shift into autumn with slow movement, steady breathing, silent meditation, plus poetry and daily journaling prompts to provide focus and inspiration. As with all of our retreats, everything is optional and you are encouraged to craft the week to give yourself exactly what you need. We are eagerly anticipating a magical journey to Iceland with you!!

We are recommending renting a car from the airport with a few friends as the location is remote and a car during the retreat will allow you to explore Iceland at your leisure.
