Imagine dropping out of the everyday distractions of your life at a peaceful inn overlooking a lake in the Wilds of Pennsylvania, and dropping into sacred silence. Everything is taken care of - beautiful, healthy meals, comfortable lodging and a structure to each day to support your meditation practice, your body and your mind.
That's the Sacred Silence Retreat.
Sometimes we need to leave, in order to be found. This retreat is designed to drop you out of your everyday and more deeply into your True Self. We'll delve into silence and periods of stillness, which enable deep realizations and awakening.
In my experience, these are things that may be revealed in Silence:
· Clarity
· The ability to remain present
· Heightened intuition
· Self knowledge and understanding
· Self acceptance
· Deep relaxation
· Increased dream recall
· Improved sleep
· Broader life perspective
· Awareness of the spiritual aspects of your self
· Greater connection to your body and ability to listen to its messages
· Experience of your connection to the spirit realm
There will be scheduled meditation times; some guided meditation and some silent sitting. I will offer teaching after some of the meditation periods and Q & A in the evenings (you can submit written questions) and at the end of retreat. I will lead guided stretching to stay comfortable in seated meditation, and also utilize crystal alchemy singing bowls for focus and sound healing during the retreat.
You will be committing to silence from Wednesday evening until Sunday morning. This includes unplugging (no phones) and not taking in information during this time.
Your loved ones will have a number to call to reach you in case of emergencies.
As a BONUS and to help you to prepare for the retreat, you will receive FREE ADMISSION to my 7 Day Meditation Workshop the first week of January , 2024, live online! It will help you to start a meditation practice if you don't already have one, give helpful tips and a taste of the teachings you will be experiencing on retreat.
The cost of the retreat is $1200 - $1450 per person, depending on the accommodation you choose. That is an all-inclusive price. Note: Refunds will be given for cancellations before January 27th, 2024. On or after January 27th, 2024 no refund will be given but the retreat fee is transferable, if there is someone you would like to give your space to (including someone on the waiting list if there is one).
A silent retreat can be challenging both physically and psychologically. If you have medical or psychological pre-existing conditions, you are encouraged to consult with your doctor or mental health professional before participating in this silent meditation retreat. It is not recommended for you if you are experiencing a mental health crisis.
That being said, I will be offering guidance on staying comfortable physically and will be available to talk if you are in need of emotional support.
All scheduled meditation and other group sessions are optional, of course. Please respect others' participation in the sessions.
A refund will not be given if you decide to leave part way through the retreat.

The idea of a silent meditation retreat is to listen within. To practice being in the moment, being in acceptance of your thoughts and feelings, and opening to your Self beyond those.
So although I will not be policing your participation, we will all be agreeing to silence from Wednesday evening until breakfast on Sunday. That includes in your room, in the common areas and outside.
No cell phones or devices. I suggest leaving them at home or in your vehicle. There are clocks in the rooms and throughout the Inn. Your loved ones will have numbers to reach me, and then you, in case of an emergency.
No taking in of outside information. No reading. You may journal if you'd like, but not during meditation sessions in the group space.
You can submit written questions or topics that I can address in my spiritual talks.
You don't need to avoid other people. Just try not to carry on non-verbal conversation. Polite actions and smiles are always nice.
During meditation sessions you can sit on a chair or blanket. You may want to bring your own backjack or zafu. I discourage lying down because it’s more likely that you’ll fall asleep. Of course all sessions are optional.
You will know where my room is in case you are in distress and truly need to talk to someone.
