The highest volcano in Ecuador. Chimborazo has an exuberant natural wealth on its slopes; The Vicuña trek is done on the northeast side passing through the Abraspungo valley, between the snow-capped mountains of Chimborazo and Carihuairazo.
This hike is called “Trekking of the Vicuña” due to the presence of this species of Andean camelid on its slopes within the animal reserve.
