The Nepal and Bhutan Tour is a 12-day journey through the rich cultures, breathtaking landscapes, and spiritual traditions of two Himalayan countries. This tour offers an immersive experience, combining historical exploration, nature adventures, and cultural insights across Nepal and Bhutan.


The journey begins in Kathmandu, where travelers explore the city's ancient temples, stupas, and palaces. Highlights include visits to Boudhanath Stupa, Pashupatinath Temple, and Kathmandu Durbar Square, showcasing Nepal’s rich architectural and spiritual heritage. An optional mountain flight over Mount Everest adds a unique perspective on the region’s natural beauty. The adventure then moves to Pokhara, where visitors enjoy stunning lakeside views, explore the World Peace Pagoda, and learn about mountain culture at the International Mountain Museum.


Next, travelers head to Chitwan National Park, Nepal’s first national park. Here, guests experience an exciting jungle safari to spot wildlife such as rhinos, crocodiles, deer, and, if fortunate, the elusive Bengal tiger. Cultural immersion continues with a Tharu cultural dance show, providing insight into the customs of the indigenous community.


The tour then shifts to Bhutan, starting in the capital city, Thimphu. Visitors explore traditional crafts, visit important cultural sites, and enjoy the scenic beauty of Bhutanese landscapes. The journey continues to Punakha, where guests marvel at the majestic Punakha Dzong and hike to Khamsum Yulley Namgyal Chorten for breathtaking valley views. Nepal and Bhutan Tour – Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu

Upon arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport, a Peregrine representative will greet and escort you to your hotel. Later in the afternoon or evening, you will meet your tour leader for a briefing on the Nepal and Bhutan Tour. This session will cover trip details, the itinerary, and the schedule. Feel free to discuss any last-minute changes with the leader.

In the evening, you are free to explore the bustling streets of Kathmandu. As you wander, you will notice a fascinating blend of ancient and modern architecture. Kathmandu is primarily home to the Newari people, whose rich history is visible in the city’s arts, architecture, and unique cuisine. Traditional bazaars like Ason and Indrachowk are also worth visiting.

Day 2: Mountain Flight to Mount Everest and Kathmandu Sightseeing

Start the day with an early morning mountain flight over Mount Everest, offering stunning views of the world’s tallest peak and the Sagarmatha National Park. After this breathtaking experience, return to Kathmandu to visit some of the city's UNESCO World Heritage Sites.

Begin at Boudhanath Stupa, one of the world's largest stupas, and continue to Pashupatinath Temple, a significant Hindu temple complex located on the banks of the Bagmati River. You may witness traditional Hindu cremation ceremonies along the ghats. The tour continues with a visit to Kathmandu Durbar Square, surrounded by astounding architecture from the Lichhavi Period.

Day 3: Fly to Pokhara

Take an early morning flight to Pokhara, famously known as the city of lakes. Your accommodation will be near Phewa Lake, one of the seven lakes in the region. During the day, visit the World Peace Pagoda, offering stunning views of Annapurna and Machhapuchhre (Fishtail Peak). The day ends with a visit to the International Mountain Museum, where you will learn about the history and culture of the Himalayas.

Day 4: Exploration Day in Pokhara

Spend the day exploring Pokhara at your own pace. Wander through the streets, visit local cafes, and perhaps take a boat trip on Phewa Lake. You can also explore other lakes in the area, join a yoga class, or try adventure sports like paragliding and bungee jumping. The options are endless.

Day 5: Drive/Fly to Chitwan National Park

Travel to Chitwan National Park, Nepal's first national park. The drive takes approximately four hours. Upon arrival in Sauraha, check into an eco-lodge. In the afternoon, relax by the riverside and watch the sunset. Later, experience a traditional Tharu cultural dance show, showcasing the customs and traditions of the local indigenous community.

Day 6: Jungle Activities in Chitwan National Park

Start the day with an Elephant Walk, where you follow an Asian elephant on foot to learn about its natural behavior. Then, embark on a Jeep Safari in Chitwan National Park to observe various wildlife, including deer, birds, crocodiles, and possibly even the endangered one-horned rhinoceros or the elusive Bengal tiger. In the late afternoon, enjoy a canoe ride on the Rapti River, spotting Gharial and Marsh Mugger crocodiles.

Day 7: Return to Kathmandu

Day 8: Fly to Paro and Drive to Thimphu

Fly from Kathmandu to Paro, Bhutan, and drive to Thimphu. Along the way, you will witness Bhutan's stunning landscapes, including mountains, rivers, and rice plantations. After a delicious local lunch, visit the Nado Poizokhang Incense Factory and Gagyel Lhundrup Weaving Centre. Later, explore the streets of Thimphu at your leisure.

Day 9: Explore Thimphu and Drive to Punakha

Explore the monastery's sacred ambiance before descending and returning to Paro for your final night in Bhutan.
