Hyde Park, NY

Our first stop this morning is the famed Culinary Institute of America, which outgrew its original facility in New Haven, CT and relocated to Hyde Park in 1972. The CIA is an American private, not-for-profit college that specializes in culinary, baking and pastry arts education. In 1946, it was founded as a vocational institute for veterans returning from World War II. The CIA has become the country’s pre-eminent culinary arts school. Upon arrival, we will be led on a student-guided tour, enjoy the CIA Experience followed by a three-course lunch at the CIA’s American Bounty Restaurant.

After lunch, we move on to Highland where we will stop at Dubois Farms. It is here that we will have some time to explore the farm market and the bakery.
