Thes Multi-Day Trips are designed for experienced divers. Due to to the vicinity of Simca Island to a big variety of remote dive sites we strive to offer the best possible dive spots for encounters with massive schools of fish and big marine fauna. Many of those sites are exposed to currents, some require negative entries and entries in the unprotected open sea, some go down to depth of 30 to 40 meters. For these reasons we require an Advanced certification and 50+ dives with dives done within the last 6-12 months.
please read our terms, conditions, and cancellation policies
Please consider covering diving- and travel risks with an insurance policy, Coiba is a remote place far off the beaten path
We need a minimum of 4 divers for this trip. We accept your booking and will promote this trip to other interested and experienced divers. In case we don’t get the required minimum, we give you the choice of going on “normal” daily Coiba Dive Trips (to the regular Coiba price), change the date or get a full refund of your deposit. You can stay on Simca even, but we do not go to the more remote dive sites and cannot gurantee only having experienced divers, day trips are open to all certified divers. Our mission is simple:
Provide our guests with the best possible service at reasonable rates so that they can enjoy their trip as much as possible. We offer 3- to 6-day trips or longer packages based on your needs.
Comfortable stay for affordable prices and close to the dive sites:
This is why we have decided to offer dive- and stay packages at the Liquid Jungle Lab on Simca Island, this way we can offer you a unique experience that will allow you to enjoy your dive adventure at its fullest. From here, you'll be able to reach many dive sites within 15 minutes by boat and some remote sites – rarely visited in day trips (because of the long boat ride of 2 hours+) from Santa Catalina in 30 to 45 minutes. Enjoy a comfortable stay with delicious food, drink, and accommodations at a fraction of the cost of live-a-board diving.
Most experienced guides and crew:
We have been working since 2003 in this area - the first and original dive center of Coiba. Scuba Coiba's guides are the most experienced around Coiba. They have been working together for many years and have over 50 years of combined experience as divers themselves – more than 30 years combined around Coiba only! They'll make you feel right at home with their laid-back attitudes, knowledge of the ocean, and willingness to go out of their way for you.
Short itinerary:
Usually, we start our trip from Santa Catalina, leaving at 8:00 am the first day and heading towards Coiba National Park. We will do 3 dives, have a cold lunch on a beach and check into The Liquid Jungle Lab in the afternoon, enjoying the private jungle setting of our accommodation. Day 2 and 3 we start from Isla Simca after breakfast. Day 3 (or last day, extension days are available) we return after the third dive to Santa Catalina, where will arrive around 4:00 pm.
On request, it is also possible to start and/or end the trip in Pixvae instead of Santa Catalina. A new road is being built from Sona to Pixvae and after it is finished in 2023, it will be only 1 hour drive from Sona to Pixvae. Pixvae also has an airstrip owned by Isla Simca, which makes it possible to fly into Pixvae by charter and get a transfer to Simca (20 to minutes by boat).
