About your trip

HOW TO GET THE MOST OUT OF YOUR COIBA DIVE ADVENTURE? DIVE NITROX! DIVE LONGER! DIVE BETTER!

Diving at Coiba means diving the National Park (UNESCO World Heritage Site) what does not only consist of the island of Coiba but also other beautiful smaller islands, most of them offer also virgin white sand beaches.

It will take our fast boats between 50 minutes to 1:20 hours to reach our first dive site, where after a site briefing and buddy check you will dive into the Coiba wonderworld for up to ONE hour (depending on your air  consumption and allowed no decompression time).

The standard day tour consists of two dives on two dive sites chosen accordingly to the interests and experience levels of the group and environmental conditions. All dives are guided by our experienced and certified PADI instructors or dive masters. An additional third dive can be booked usually directly on the day of the trip (conditions permitting). In between the dives you have time to relax on pristine beaches go for snorkeling or a short hike.

As Nitrox certified divers have usually some experience and most good sites around Coiba are a bit advanced and around 20 to 30 meters in the more interestiing areas, diving with Nitrox instead of air not only allows you longer and better dives, it also makes you less tired after a long day of diving.

Dive Nitrox, dive longer, dive better!

You will see a variety of life on all sites: reef sharks are common on all sites, turtles, schools of jacks, snappers, barracudas can be seen requently the year around and there is, of course, the whole range of tropical reef life. We have sites where enconters with bull sharks ar not uncommon the year around and hammerheads are seen on some dive sites between April and June. Whales, whale sharks, mantas and devil rays can be seen at certain times. We do not like to rush our guests, therefore our dives last up to 60 minutes if air consumption and No Decompression limit allows for it, so doing 2 dives with Scuba Coiba gives you almost the same under water time as three dives with some other operators.
