Getting to Amorgos - We recommend you travel at least a day early in order to catch ferry.
Please note: if you are flying into Athens you WILL need to arrive a day early in order to catch ta ferry to Amorgos. The ferries only leave in the AM and unless you arrive in Athens VERY early, before 6AM, it is unlikely you will make the ferry to Amorgos.
The 2026 ferry schedules will be announced in early 2026 but most of the time the arrival and departure hours are the same/similar, so you can look into this year's dates in order to have an idea what your travel plans should look like. You can check out the ferry schedule at www.openseas.gr - kindly note that Amorgos has two ports - Aegiali and Katapola so make sure to search both.
Regarding traveling options, please find some detailed information below:
Summer/early fall:
Usually, from late April each year until mid-October, you can travel to Amorgos with a direct ferry or high-speed vessel from Athens, Paros, Naxos, Mykonos, and Santorini, that all feature an airport which has direct flights and connections with major cities across the world during summer.
If you choose to fly to Athens and travel from the port of Piraeus to Amorgos, you can either embark on a Blue Star ferry (approximate travel duration: 8 hours) or a high-speed vessel (approximate travel duration: 4-5 hours).
If you choose to travel from Santorini, you will embark on a high-speed vessel that will bring you to Amorgos in 1-3 hours.
Naxos is 2-3 hours away from Amorgos depending on the vessel.
HOW TO TRAVEL FROM ATHENS TO AMORGOS
Amorgos does not have an airport but is easily reached with daily ferries and high speed vessels. Athens International Airport (ATH) is the most convenient to arrive. Ferries start from Athens port, Piraeus and dock alternately at the two ports of Amorgos Island: Katapola and Aegiali (near to the hotel). At this time, the earliest ferry leaves Athens at 6:45am and the latest at 9am. While this is a long cruise-- you'll be cruising trough the Greek Isles, and we can think of worse things.
We will pick you up at whatever port you arrive in. I will greet you at Aegialis when you arrive. I will send a form out soon for ferry and flight information, as well as any dietary restrictions.

When departing, please remember that the ferry schedule can affect your flight. Currently, the two ferries arrive in Athens after 8pm on ADD DATES and at 5am on ADD DATES respectively. We suggest opening one extra night in Athens or flying directly out of Santorini. Please check ferry schedules before booking flights.

All deposits are non- refundable. The deposit for this trip is $500. All cancellations are required in writing.
50% of the trip's paid balance, outside of deposit, will be returned if cancelled before February 1st, 2026.
25% of the trip's paid balance, outside of deposit, will be returned if cancelled before April 1st , 2026.
All trips not cancelled before April 1st, 2026, or any trips booked thereafter are not eligible to receive a refund on any and all payments made towards the trip.
All trips not paid in full at the time of booking will be required to be on a payment plan with auto deduction.
Failed Payments:
If your payment fails please contact us immediately if you need assistance updating your card information. We travel will automatically try to collect any past due payments the next month if you have not resolved the matter. If you have two failed payments and do not reach out to us we reserve the right to cancel your trip with zero refund.
