Leave your laptop at home. Turn your phone off. Step away from the noise. Join us for Roots & Renewal, a 5-day/4-night jungle retreat tucked deep in the jungle on the Oaxacan coast of Mexico at the magical sanctuary of Pueblo del Sol.
This October 2025, two women from different worlds—France and the USA—come together to offer you a space of rest, reconnection, and inspiration. We welcome all genders and all souls seeking clarity, peace, and purpose.
In this sacred container, you'll be guided through daily yoga, meditations, herbal rituals, and self-care ceremonies infused with ancestral Mexican wisdom. Learn to listen to nature. Taste the local, plant-based cuisine that connects you deeper to the fertile Oaxacan land. Explore healing traditions and discover tools to live in alignment with your body, your breath, and your purpose.
Immerse yourself in the magic of the jungle through mindfully curated experiences. Visit a local coffee farm to learn about sustainable growing practices and taste freshly roasted beans. Connect with nature's wisdom at our partner bee sanctuary, where you'll learn about these sacred pollinators. Enjoy a nurturing picnic deep in the jungle, letting the sounds of birds and rustling leaves be your soundtrack.
We will unplug from the digital world to fully plug back into ourselves. Together, we will practice presence, awaken our curiosity, and slow down long enough to remember what truly matters. This is not a retreat just to escape—it's a space to reset, realign, and reawaken.
You'll leave feeling grounded, light, creatively recharged, and deeply connected—to the Earth, your body, your breath, and your beautiful path forward.
Come as you are. Leave renewed.
Hi, I’m Floriane — but please, call me Flo. Originally from France, I followed a traditional path for a while, working in an office job that did not quite feel like me. Six years ago, I packed a backpack, left everything behind, and set off on a solo journey across the world, searching for something deeper — more meaningful, more aligned.
Along the way, I discovered yoga not just as a practice, but as a way of living. I trained with teachers from different countries and backgrounds, experiencing diverse styles and approaches that helped shape my own path.
I completed my 200-hour Vinyasa Yoga Teacher Training, followed by a Yin Yoga certification through the well-respected Yoga Academy International, registered with the Yoga Alliance. Since then, I’ve made my home in Puerto Escondido, Mexico, where I’ve been sharing yoga with a growing, diverse community.
My teaching is grounded in the belief that yoga is for everybody — no matter your shape, age, experience, or background. You don’t need to be flexible or “fit” to start. You just need a willingness to show up for yourself. In my classes, I aim to create a space that feels safe, welcoming, and non-judgmental, where each person can explore their own rhythm and reconnect with their breath.
Over time, my journey also led me to complementary healing practices. I studied sound healing with Tibetan bowls, exploring the deep effects of sound and vibration on the body and mind — from reducing stress and anxiety to encouraging deep rest and presence. I also began learning about Mayan traditions and the sacred Cacao Ceremony — a gentle yet powerful practice for emotional release and heart connection.
Today, I offer a holistic approach that blends movement, stillness, sound, and ceremony. My mission is to support people who are seeking more balance and clarity in their lives — to help them reconnect with their bodies, their inner wisdom, and their unique path.
It would be an honor to guide you during this retreat — to hold space for your practice, your growth, and your personal reset.
My wanderlust led me to explore the world from an early age. Growing up in the Midwest with mixed Puerto Rican and American heritage, I was naturally drawn to discovering different cultures and ways of life. A pivotal moment came at age 10 when I lost vision in one eye - this challenge sparked an even deeper desire to travel and experience the world through all my senses.
At 25, I took a life-changing solo trip to Bali that opened the door to endless possibilities. This journey ignited my passion for combining travel with wellness and healing practices. Since then, I've explored diverse cultures and traditional practices across NYC, Singapore, Japan, The Philippines, Guatemala, and finally Mexico—where I've made my home. Along the way, I became certified in Ayurveda & Women's Health, weaving together my love for travel, healing, and cultural wisdom.
My passion for transformative travel experiences inspired me to host retreats and connect with fellow seekers from around the globe.
Through my YouTube channel, Olivia Anelise, I share authentic travel adventures and wellness discoveries with my growing community. My mission is to create immersive experiences where people can explore new cultures while reconnecting with themselves and nature, discovering the healing wisdom that each destination holds.
Mexico is a land of vibrant color, culture, and natural beauty — where ancient traditions and modern life blend seamlessly. In the heart of its southern mountains lies a quiet corner where you can step away from the noise and reconnect with what truly matters: nature, community, and yourself.
Welcome to Pueblo del Sol, an intimate eco-conscious retreat center nestled in the Oaxacan Sierra, just one hour from the beach town of Puerto Escondido. Surrounded by 800 hectares of pristine forest, waterfalls, and mountain trails, it's a sanctuary where you can breathe deeply, move mindfully, and slow down. The center features sustainably built bamboo cabanas, open-air yoga spaces, and winding jungle paths that lead to hidden meditation spots.
The property harnesses solar power and follows regenerative practices, from rainwater harvesting to organic gardening. Here, the boundaries between indoor and outdoor living dissolve — you'll wake to birdsong, practice yoga overlooking misty mountains, and fall asleep to the gentle symphony of nighttime jungle sounds.
Pueblo del Sol is more than a beautiful setting — it's a community project dedicated to sustainability, cultural preservation, and living in harmony with the land. Whether you're walking through the forest, cooling off in a natural pool, or enjoying locally grown meals, you'll feel a profound sense of connection and calm.
During your stay, you'll experience local traditions, including the Cacao Ceremony — a meaningful gathering inspired by ancient practices, where cacao is used to support emotional and physical well-being.
The retreat offers a perfect balance of yoga, rest, movement, and time in nature. It's a space to reset your mind and body, away from daily distractions. You don't need to be deeply spiritual — just open to grounding yourself, exploring something new, and being present.
Just an hour away, Puerto Escondido is perfect for extending your stay. This laid-back surf town charms visitors with its rolling waves, breathtaking sunsets, dolphin sightings, fresh seafood, and vibrant local markets.
And if you're seeking more adventure, Oaxaca City is a scenic drive away — particularly enchanting in late October and early November during Día de los Muertos, a colorful and heartfelt celebration of life, culture, and remembrance.
During the retreat, you’ll be treated to three freshly prepared meals each day, thoughtfully crafted by our on-site chef and served in the open-air dining space a — surrounded by nature and good company.
The menu is designed to nourish, energize, and support your body throughout your retreat experience. Expect vibrant, flavorful meals that are mostly plant-based, with a focus on whole, seasonal ingredients. While the meals lean toward a clean and detox-friendly approach, we also include select high-quality dairy products to keep things balanced and satisfying.
Everything is cooked from scratch with care, using fresh local produce — much of it grown nearby or sourced from the surrounding village. The result is food that not only tastes delicious but also makes you feel good from the inside out.
Whether you're refueling after a morning yoga practice or winding down with a warm evening meal, you’ll find that every dish is made with love and intention.

“I've attended two yoga camp retreats with Flo, and I must warn you she is not a regular yoga teacher, but a holistic companion that will take your experience to the next level. Flo makes sure that your time in the retreat feels personalized and intimate, promoting a friendly atmosphere within the group. The yoga sessions vary from energizing morning routines to calming evening flows accompanied by her stack of additional talents, including music healing, pranayama breathwork, and sacred medicine ceremonies.”

“I must say that Flo's retreats have not only helped me in opening my eyes to new experiences or to even meet new wonderful loving people, but it also helped in healing my body, mind and spirit. I'm glad my path crossed with Flo and her Yoga, she taught me that yoga is more than just flexibility. Yoga has now become a way for me to stay present, to allow myself to feel, accept, heal and most importantly, LOVE. She teaches yoga through her heart, allowing yourself to move at your own pace, your own time just as how life should be, with no rush”
