About your trip

Ecotourism Experience & Sustainable Investment in Morro de São Paulo

This program offers a unique opportunity for those seeking to combine high-end travel with a conscious real estate investment. The experience invites you to discover how it is possible to acquire property at a competitive value within a model that prioritizes the conservation of the Atlantic Forest, allowing your investment to become an active part of preserving the island’s ecosystem.

During the retreat, guests will discover the two sides of Morro de São Paulo. On one hand, the vibrant social and cultural atmosphere through a guided evening tour to explore the best of the local cuisine (tapas and drinks are paid individually, allowing participants the freedom to choose). On the other hand, a deeper exploration of the Ecobairros, where the real estate project is located. These neighborhoods are strategically integrated within preserved areas of the Atlantic Forest, about a 20-minute walk from the sea, offering an environment of pure nature and breathtaking panoramic views from the higher areas.

The itinerary moves away from conventional tourism and instead focuses on wellness and ecotourism. Traditional tours are replaced with walks along the beach and through the lush Atlantic Forest, visits to natural waterfalls, and therapeutic clay baths. Ultimately, it is an invitation to discover a project where real estate value and environmental respect coexist in perfect harmony. 🌿✨

The Destination

Located on the beautiful island of Tinharé, the village of Morro de São Paulo is one of the most unique destinations on Brazil’s coast. Part of the Tinharé Archipelago, the island is known for its preserved landscapes, tropical beaches, and the lush biodiversity of the Atlantic Forest that still covers much of its territory. Beyond Morro itself, the island reveals a network of small villages, quiet beaches, mangroves, waterfalls, and forest trails that make it a true sanctuary for nature and slow travel.

Morro de São Paulo is particularly special because it is a vehicle-free village, where the rhythm of life feels calmer and more connected to nature. With no cars or traffic, visitors move along sandy paths and coastal trails, creating an atmosphere that feels both peaceful and authentic.

Guests will stay in carefully selected 3 Pro or 4 beachfront hotels**, prioritizing the tranquility of Quinta Praia (Praia do Encanto) — the most pristine and secluded beach in the area — offering a true “pé na areia” experience where the ocean is just steps away. If availability does not allow accommodation there, the stay will be arranged on Quarta Praia or Terceira Praia, both known for their beautiful beachfront settings and easy access to the village.

In every case, the retreat is designed to ensure a comfortable stay immersed in nature, where the sound of the ocean and the surrounding tropical landscape become part of the experience. 🌿🌊

A Journey with a Return on Impact

Why simply visit when you can truly belong? At Ecomorro, we believe in conscious ownership and meaningful connection with place and nature. This retreat is more than a travel experience—it is an invitation to explore a more sustainable way of living and investing on the island of Tinharé.

The Ecomorro Guarantee:
If during or after the retreat you decide to become part of our community by purchasing a lot in the Ecomorro Ecobarrios, 100% of the cost of this program will be fully credited toward the value of your land investment.

In this way, the retreat becomes not only a transformative experience in Morro de São Paulo, but also the first step toward participating in a project where nature conservation, community, and long-term value grow together. 🌿

Traveler’s Essential Notes

  • Accommodation: To ensure maximum comfort and proximity to the island’s vibrant local life, your stay will be located in the beachfront area, where you can enjoy the ocean breeze at all times.

  • Eco-neighborhood Immersion: Please note that our eco-neighborhood visits are a true immersion into the island's interior. While these areas are not "beachfront" (pé na areia), they offer the most spectacular panoramic landscapes, providing a unique perspective of the Mata Atlântica from the island’s highest points.

  • Gastronomy & Night Tour: During our Night Tour, we have curated a selection of the island's best spots. To provide you with total freedom and a personalized culinary experience, all personal food and drink consumption during the tour will be paid directly by the traveler.

  • Health & Terrain: As Morro de São Paulo is a car-free island with varied topography, good physical health is essential. Be prepared for charming cobblestone streets and scenic nature trails.

  • Currency & Payments: While most establishments in Morro accept credit cards, we recommend carrying some local currency (Brazilian Reais) for small artisan shops or beach services.

  • Sustainable Mindset: We are visiting a protected ecosystem. We encourage the use of biodegradable products and a "leave no trace" approach during our hikes and sanctuary visits.

  • Timezone & Connectivity: The island operates on Brasília Time (GMT-3). Wi-Fi is available at your accommodation, while satellite connectivity (Starlink) is the standard for our remote eco-neighborhood areas.

  • Arrival & Island Logistics: The "Island Ubers"When arriving at or departing from Morro de São Paulo, you will encounter the island’s famous local porters, affectionately known as the "Island Ubers. These locals use hand-carts to transport luggage across the island's unique terrain, which includes some steep, sandy, and uneven paths at the village entrance. We highly recommend using their services to reach your accommodation comfortably. It is a seamless way to navigate the incline at the entrance, and it directly supports the local community members who are the heartbeat of the island’s logistics.

FAQ & Important Informations

I. Investment & Booking

Q: How long do I have to purchase a lot and redeem my retreat credit? A: You have up to 3 months after the retreat to finalize your land investment. If you choose to invest, 100% of your retreat cost will be credited toward your down payment. Please note this offer is subject to lot availability at the time of purchase.

Q: What happens if the minimum number of participants is not met? A: To ensure the quality of the immersive experience, a minimum of 10 participants is required. If this number is not reached, we offer two options: a full refund of your retreat payment or the possibility to proceed with the retreat at an adjusted price based on the final group size. We will notify you at least 30 days in advance.

II. The Experience & Physical Preparedness

Q: What is the physical intensity of the retreat? A: Living and exploring an island like Morro de São Paulo requires good general health. Our hikes are of moderate intensity, involving some uphill sections to reach the best panoramic views. Since the island has limited vehicle access in certain areas, being comfortable with walking on varied terrain is essential to fully enjoying the sanctuary.

Q: What should I pack for the retreat? A: We recommend light, breathable clothing, swimwear, biodegradable sunscreen, and insect repellent. Trekking shoes or sneakers with good grip are essential for the forest hikes. You are welcome to bring your own snorkel gear for the natural pools on Day 3; please note that underwater visibility is strictly dependent on weather and sea conditions.

Q: Do you accommodate dietary restrictions? A: Absolutely. Whether you are vegan, vegetarian, or have specific allergies (gluten, nuts, etc.), our team coordinates with local chefs to ensure your culinary experience is both safe and exquisite.

III. Logistics & Arrival

Q: What is the weather like in Morro de São Paulo? A: We enjoy a tropical climate year-round. In the event of extreme weather that might prevent a specific outdoor activity (like the boat crossing or waterfall visit), we always have meaningful alternative connection and wellness activities prepared.
