Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON)
During NYNA, Marrakech will pulse with continental pride as Africa’s biggest sporting event — the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) — fills the city with electric energy. From fan zones to viewing parties, the spirit of unity and competition will spill into every street, connecting travelers and locals in the shared rhythm of victory, culture, and joy.
Due to FIFA expanding its Club World Cup competition to 32 teams , this edition of the tournament will be played between December 21, 2025 and January 18, 2026. It will be the first time that the tournament will be played over the Christmas and New Year period.

Then, Mumu Fresh takes the stage—an artist celebrated worldwide as a “quadruple threat,” praised by legends such as Black Thought and Common for her groundbreaking contributions to music and culture. Also known as Maimouna Youssef, she is a GRAMMY–nominated, Indigenous Music Award–winning vocalist, emcee, songwriter, activist, and musical ambassador whose genre-spanning sound weaves Jazz, Gospel, Hip Hop, Soul, traditional African and Indigenous music into one expansive sonic universe. Fresh off her latest album, The Healing, she brings a performance that is both ceremonial and electrifying—an offering of sound, spirit, and storytelling.

This dynamic, solutions-focused workshop explores how people across the African Diaspora are shaping a new era of African independence—rooted not only in political sovereignty, but in cultural reclamation, economic self-determination, spiritual awakening, and global solidarity. Participants will examine the current shifts happening across the continent—from rising Pan-African entrepreneurship and cultural exports to land ownership movements, food sovereignty, technological innovation, and the power of Diasporic return. The session invites participants to envision how collective action can strengthen Africa’s evolution in this new age.
2pm: Game Changers: The Power of African Sports Tourism. Explores how sports can drive tourism, investment, and cultural pride across the continent.

5pm - 7pm: The Textile Nations Talk Series
The Textile Nations Talk Series is an engaging, two-part exploration of the artistry, innovation, and cultural power of African textiles and fashion. Designed to deepen understanding of Africa’s creative heritage, the series invites guests into conversations with master artisans, designers, historians, and industry leaders who are shaping the future of textile design across the continent. 8pm: Textile Nations Fashion Show
Hosted by the Asopo Festival and powered by Kuba Concepts, is a runway experience that celebrates the creativity, heritage, and cultural power of African fashion.
