The port town of Bellingham, in addition to being a craft brew hub and outdoor recreation mecca, is the gateway to your San Juan Island Whale Watching cruise and North Cascade National Park adventure. Nestled in the Methow Valley, Winthrop is an old west town with boardwalks and western charm, while Leavenworth, in the shadow of the Cascades, will delight you with its Bavarian charm. Each are a perfect complement to your Alaska cruise or stand-alone holiday!

Your InquisiTours tour director will pick you up at the airport or a downtown location prior to 10:00 am. As you leave Seattle, sit back and take in the views of the Puget Sound and the Cascade Mountains. Enjoy lunch and a welcome drink in the charming coastal town of Bellingham. With stunning views, easy access to the outdoors and great beer, this home of Western Washington University fully embodies the Pacific Northwest lifestyle. Overnight.

This morning we board our boat for Whale Watching in the Salish Sea. As we cruise the San Juan Islands, we’ll search for Orcas, Minkes, and Humpback whales and enjoy lunch on board. Once you are back in Bellingham, the evening is yours to sample the fine Northwest cuisine and famous craft beer scene. Overnight.

Today we head for the mountains. The North Cascades National Park is one of North America’s most remote and rugged landscapes. With stunning vistas and accessible trails you’ll enjoy lunch and full day in the mountains. To finish the day, Winthrop, with its western charm, and the Methow Valley, will offer a truly unique experience. Overnight.

Prepare to be awe-struck as we set off on our journey into the charming village of Leavenworth envelops you in a cozy cocoon of Bavarian charm. We’ll start by stretching our legs downtown on our favorite river-front walking trail, where the gentle gurgling of a fresh mountain stream creates the perfect ambiance to take in the 360′ mountain views, timber A-frame homes, and to catch a whiff of sizzling German sausage and cold lager served up in the many local stein houses.
During our stay, you’ll have free time to explore the village on your own terms, or for the more adventurous, take the opportunity to raft the roaring Wenatchee river and feel the exhilaration of crashing through some of its world-famous standing waves, surrounded by stunning scenery and plentiful sunshine. Or if you prefer an aerial challenge, jump on a high-flying zipline to soar above the towering pines and take in the unrivaled views of the Eastern Cascades.

This morning we head to the Emerald City of Seattle. One of the great cities of the west, we’ll visit the iconic Pikes Place Market with time to explore on your own. On our last night together, we will gather for a farewell dinner and a stay at a downtown hotel. Overnight.
