Today your amazing China tour begins. You will board the outbound flight to Beijing. Enjoy the on board food, beverage and the entertainment. It takes about 13 hours.
We arrived in Beijing, the capital city of China. Beijing Capital International Airport has rapidly ascended in rankings of the world's busiest airports in the past decade. Upon Arrival, greet our local tour guide at the arrival hall and transfer to your luxury hotel. You will have free time to rest, relax and acclimate to your new time zone.
This morning, you will sight-see Tiananmen Square, which is noted as the largest public square in the world. Then visit the Imperial Palace in the Forbidden City. The Forbidden City was the Chinese imperial palace from the Ming dynasty to the end of the Qing dynasty. For almost 500 years, it served as the home of emperors and their households, as well as the ceremonial and political center of the Chinese government. Tonight, you will enjoy a Peking Duck welcome dinner.
Today you will visit The Great Wall! Visiting the Great Wall is a delightful must for visitors to China. The Great Wall is one of the seven greatest man-made wonders of the world and is definitely the focal point of China. You will hike along one of the three greatest mountain passes - Juyongguan Pass. After that, you will have lunch where you can take some rest. Afterward you will stop at a Jade Museum to learn the history of Jade. In Chinese, jade is pronounced as 'Yu', and it has a history in China of at least four thousand years. In the evening, you can choose the optional tour. Visit the Traditional Chinese Medicine Center then transfer to the airport to catch your flight to Xian. Upon arrival, our local guide will meet and greet you to escort you to the hospitality of your next hotel accommodation to rest for the day.
Today is a full day tour. According to UNESCO, the TerraCotta Warriors and Horses are the Eighth Wonder of the World. Today's excursion will take you to modern China's greatest archaeological discovery – The TerraCotta Warriors and Horses, which silently guarded the tomb of China's First Emperor for over 2,200 years. Next you'll head to the Terracotta Replication Factory that actually re-made terracotta soldiers. After lunch, visit the Small Wild Goose Pagoda Scenic Area, then the Muslim Street, the local Bazaar, as well as the Great Mosque.
This morning you will be transferred to the airport to catch your flight to Shanghai. After arrival, visit the Bund. Shanghai is divided by the Huang Pu River into eastern and western sections. Modern mega high rises are seen on the eastern side while traditional European style architecture may be seen on the western side. The Bund is a five-block riverfront promenade with many of Shanghai’s banks and trading houses. Optional tour: Lujiazui financial district & HuangPu River Cruise - $80/person
Today is the last day in Shanghai. You will visit Nanjing Road where you can do some last minute shopping. Then go to the Shanghai Silk factory. After lunch, it is free on your own.
Today, we will transfer you to the airport. Say goodbye to China.
