Thursday, August 27
7:30am Gather with your fellow travelers at Capitol Tours office on Leaphart Road to prepare for departure to Nashville, TN at 8:00am. There will be a stop along the way for lunch on your own.
5:00pm Estimated arrival a Gaylord Opryland Resort for check-in. Please note you are now in the Central Time Zone. Guests at the family-friendly Nashville resort can explore on their own nine acres of airy indoor garden atrium, award winning restaurants, the world class Relache Spa and so much more! Once you have received your room key, the evening is yours to enjoy as you like. The hotel overs shuttle service for hotel guests to the Opry Mills with numerous shops and restaurants to explore. Dinner is on your own this evening.
Friday, August 28 – Breakfast is included at the hotel
9:00am Board the motorcoach with your guide for today’s City Tour of Nashville. See the many exciting sites of Music City.
11:30am Spend some free time in Downtown Nashville for lunch on your own and shopping.
1:30pm Continue to the Ryman Auditorium for a guided tour at 2:00pm. Thy Ryman is known as the mother church of country music and hosted The Grand Ole Opry from 1943 to 1974.
3:30pm Return to the hotel.
4:45pm Have an early dinner tonight at Paula Deen’s Family Kitchen.
6:30pm Enjoy reserved seats to the world-famous Grand Ole Opry, celebrating 101 years!
Saturday, August 29 – Breakfast is included at the hotel
8:30am Depart from the hotel and travel to The Hermitage, home of 7th President of the United State, Andrew Jackson. Take a guided tour of the Hermitage Mansions followed by free time to explore the museum, garden, grounds and more than 20 historic buildings.
11:15am Lunch is included at Nadeen’s Hermitage Haven.
12:30pm Continue to our next stop, the Opry House, home of the Grand Ole Opry, for a backstage tour at 1:15pm. Get an intimate look at the people, places and stories behind the show that made country music famous.
2:30pm After the tour, return to the hotel for rest and relaxation before tonight’s entertainment.
5:30pm Travel to the General Jackson Showboat for our anniversary presentation held in a private room on board the boat. After the presentation, continue to the main dining room for dinner and entertainment as you cruise the Cumberland River. At the conclusion of the cruise, continue to the hotel.
Sunday, August 30 – Breakfast is included at the hotel
9:00am It’s been a fantastic time in Nashville! Time for us to travel back to South Carolina with great memories of this special time together. There will be a stop along the way for lunch on your own.
