After selling out our first few trips, you know I had to add some more week-long extravaganzas for us, Globethotties! 

I’m gonna be taking you to where it all started for me… Lisbon, my first ever solo travel city. From there, we’ll be making our way down to Lagos, Portugal… Where if you’ve listened to the Globethotter podcast -- you know I spent a wild summer volunteering at one of Europe’s most notorious party hostels. 

Check out our trip itinerary chock full of nights competing to be the “best night ever” and reserve your space today! 

Globethotties will fly in via LIS airport to get the party started. Folks flying over the Atlantic Ocean will lose a day traveling, and would need to take off on June 30th to join us for first day activities on July 1st.

We will be flying out of a different airport when our trip wraps, so be mindful to not book a round-trip flight, unless you have your own transport back to the city. When our trip officially wraps on Thursday morning, those flying out of FAO airport will be transported via private shuttle. 

Given the nature of making plans in the times of COVID, we encourage those offered an official spot on the trip to consider buying refundable flight tickets and personal travel insurance. While we are almost sure that COVID-19 will not interfere with our group trips this summer, we will continue monitoring and following all CDC recommendations. 

Please note that this trip’s itinerary is subject to change, to comply with COVID restrictions at time of travel. In the case the trip itinerary listed here needs to be modified due to COVID restrictions, Cassy will swap any excursions that do not comply to those of matching value that do. The group will be notified of any significant changes to the official itinerary before our trip.  

If we do cancel this trip, all registered attendees will receive a full refund of any trip payments made up until the point of cancellation. However, the $150 deposit is a non-refundable administrative fee. Any traveler who books one of your Portugal group trips will be notified about cancellations no later than 30 days before their trip starts. 

We will honor trip cancellations due to COVID-19* up to 45 days before your trip start date. Trip cancellation requests must be received in writing to cassy@globethotter.net no later than 45 days before your trip start date, by 6 PM CST. We will not honor any trip cancellation requests made after January 30, 2022, for non-COVID-19 related reasons.

In the event that a traveler tests positive for COVID-19 before our trip, a full refund will not be given. Partial refunds may be given on a case-by-case basis. If a traveler tests positive for COVID-19 and can no longer attend the trip, Cassy needs to be notified in writing and provided with an official COVID-19 positive result dated within 14 days of departure. 

*COVID-19 Cancellation Reasons include:

1. A Level 4, ‘Do Not Travel Global Advisory’ issued to the destination country of Portugal.
2. An extended quarantine requirement is issued by the government of Portugal.
3. A Level 4, ‘Do Not Travel Global Advisory’ issued by the U.S. Department of State or by the trip attendee's country.
4. If the traveler’s government restricts all travel out of their home country.
5. The restriction of international flights prohibits travelers from traveling to Portugal. 

 After settling into our Airbnb, we’ll get to know each other over our welcome dinner at one of Lisbon’s cutest restaurants, followed by my favorite way to get to know a new city… a pub crawl! 

Brunch is on another level in Lisbon — and how we’ll be kicking off Day 2. 

After chowing down, we’ll discover Lisbon by foot. 

Gear up for a walking tour led by a local for the first half of our day, followed by a sunset sail along the shore of Lisbon in the evening, where the wine will be flowing. 

The day is yours to explore! Take advantage of your ‘free day’ by exploring nearby towns by train like Cascais or Sintra. 

Later that night, we’ll meet for dinner at a local market to swap stories.  

 We’re headed to Lagos, boo! We’ll start our day by hopping in our private shuttle down to paradise on Earth. Tucked away in the Algarve, Portugal's famous surf region, this beautiful beach town is anything but sleepy.

One we check into our dorm-style accommodation at the hostel, switch into party mode and prepare for an epic night barhopping with other backpackers from all over the world.

Grab your towel, we’re hitting the beach! And lucky for us, it’s only a five minute walk from our hostel. 

Join the squad later that day for a sunset hike along some of Lagos’ best views. 

Join the squad for one last dinner at one of Lagos’ tastiest restaurants. No, I’m not crying, you’re crying. 

For those needing a COVID test before flying back home, we’ll point you to a nearby clinic. 

Sadly, all good things must come to an end… After checking out of the hostel, hop on our private shuttle to Faro airport (FAO) to catch your plane home.
