First Outdoor Company presents Blk Out Retreat + Boulderfest 2022, in partnership with Lookout Mountain Conservancy + Synergy Climbing. This retreat + festival is hosted by Black Girls Boulder.
First Outdoor Company is a Black and woman-owned outdoor bouldering adventure and education business designed to create safe and sustainable climbing experiences.
Blk Out Fest is a bouldering festival focused on celebrating and cultivating Black excellence in climbing. Held on the grounds of the Crash Pad in Chattanooga, Tennessee, this festival features a networking welcome party & mixer, guided bouldering workshops, film screenings and discussions for creatives, athletes and entrepreneurs.
COVID Info: For those participating in the retreat and staying at the Crash Pad, we ask that you submit a negative COVID PCR test 48 hours prior to arriving to the retreat. All festival events will be held outdoors so wearing masks is optional. We will be following any local Chattanooga COVID mandates, which are subject to change.
Important Note: You will be required to sign a video/image release & event waiver upon entering the festival grounds.
VIP ticket holders will enjoy an all-inclusive stay at The Crash Pad located in downtown Chattanooga. The facility has limited on-site parking and is wheelchair accessible. Shuttle transportation is also available.
There are shared bunk rooms and private room options.

The first day features a bouldering happy hour at Synergy Bouldering + Ninja Gym and a welcome mixer at The Crash Pad.

The second day features a bouldering social at Wauhatchie Boulders and film screenings at the Crash Pad.
7am-7:45pm: Yoga with Zee Clarke "Confidence Boost: Breathe & Stretch"
8am: Breakfast
8:45am: Board Shuttle for climbing at Wauhatchie Boulders
10am-3pm: Guided bouldering with mentors (crash pads supplied), climb at your own risk or just hike & chill
6:00pm: Festival Grounds Open to Ticket Holders (vendors & activities)
6pm: Dinner Served
8pm-11:00pm: Film Screenings and Raffle Giveaways
