Then for the main event, head north near the Botswana border to Madikwe Game Reserve and the 5-star Rhulani experience. Experience sundowners and morning breakfast in the bush tracking lions and watching elephants. 

Return to Johannesburg for the onward flight to Victoria Falls. Take a sunset sail on the Zambezi River spotting hippos and crocs.

South Africa currently has no restrictions for entry. Their medical system is the best in Africa with modern clinics and hospitals. There are many pharmacies available. Madikwe is Malaria Free - No shots needed. Some vaccinations recommended but not necessary for entry.

NOTE: We highly recommend arriving one day early and joining us at the Aero Guest Lodge Hotel. This will give you a day to rest, get over jet lag and meet other guests on the tour. The hotel has a large grassy area for the kids to run around, honor bar, a great local kitchen and is near the airport. We will meet you at the airport and bring you to the Aero Guest Lodge. This will not add much to the total cost of your trip.

Elephant Sanctuary: Visit the African elephant up close. Learn about their behaviors and walk next to them in their surroundings. Also take a stroll through the nearby massive monkey habitat with all kinds of primates swinging from the trees and coming in for a closer look.

Half Day Soweto Township Tour - Walk in the footsteps of Nelson Mandela, learn how school children helped put an end to apartheid, and visit a local school. If possible we will deliver school supplies to a local community organization and spend some time with the local kids. Have local lunch on vibrant Vilikazi Street near Nelson Mandelas home

Soweto became an epicentre of political campaigns aimed at overthrowing the apartheid state, and in 1955 it was the location where 3 000 people came together to adopt the Freedom Charter - which is what the South African Constitution is now based.

Day 8 Transfer to the airport in the morning for the one hour flight to Victoria Falls town Zimbabwe.

Explore the exciting Victoria Falls area with so much to see and do. Dozens of adventure activities are available including bungee jumping, microlight and helicopter rides, zip lining and more. Included is a sunset cruise on the Zambezi River where hippos and crocodiles might join us for the view.

Visit the actual waterfalls today on foot with a long winding walking path up close to the thundering mist and rainforest area. 

The national park has restaurant, bar, visitors center, paved pathways, museum and shops. Guides are available. Entrance fee not included (about 30 USD)

Afterwords have lunch at the Lookout Cafe on the cliff to watch the zip line and bungee jumpers or take a walk across Victoria Bridge to Zambia.
