Few places can match the unspoiled beauty of Brazil’s Costa Verde, a stunning area of virgin rainforests, impossibly clear waters, and towering mountains, all just a couple of hours’ drive from the buzz of Rio. Within this paradise lies Ilha Grande, a protected island reserve and some of Brazil's most spectacular beaches. Hike to Lopes Mendes Beach and explore the island's trails by bike or on foot (Ilha Grande is carless), snorkel, kayak, or simply relax on the beautiful beaches!

Morning transfer from Rio de Janeiro, on regular transport to the coastal town of Angra dos Reis; enjoy the views along the coast (a 1.5-hour drive). A flex boat then takes us to Vila de Abraao, the only town in Ilha Grande (1-hour boat cruise). We will check in at our hotel and begin to experience the nice and peaceful atmosphere of the island.
Night at the 3-star Pousada Naturália, Standard Room (or similar).

Departures in our private boat to the Lagoa Azul (Blue Lagoon), where we can find stunning places that preserve the wild and natural environment. Stop between two islands. In the shallow transparent blue waters, we see the background of beautiful coral and colorful fish that feed themselves from the people’s hands; all this makes the Lagoa Azul one of the most visited places on Ilha Grande. Then we proceed to Feiticeira beach, a small and delightful beach at Estrelas bay. On this beach, free time to swim or hike to the Feiticeira waterfall. We will continue the tour through the Saco do Céu, a true ecological sanctuary for its mangroves that form maternity of various species. In this lovely bay, the night is possible to admire the reflection of the stars on the surface of the water and so it was christened with that name. Stop at Fora beach with its fishermen's houses and rustic restaurants along the river that flows into Perequê beach. After the tour, we'll return to our accommodation in Ilha Grande.

Free day to enjoy the peaceful beaches of this Garden of Eden, but those who want more action will be able to participate in one of the multiple eco trekking tours, explore the island by kayak or try their luck at surfing. Also is recommended to explore the islands around with a boat tour discovering stunning places that preserve the wild and natural environment.
