Búzios (transfer time is around 3 hours). After check-in at our pousada, we’ll have free time to enjoy this beautiful place.
This peninsula of 8 kilometers surrounded by islands and beaches conquered the status of a city in 1995, but its worldwide fame came significantly before that, when it was still a district of Cabo Frio. The simple fishermen's colony was never the same after the visit of French actress Brigitte Bardot, in 1964, drawing the world’s attention to the paradisiacal beaches found there. The love was mutal, and the European cinema muse gives name not only to the city’s movie theather but also to the seaside boardwalk, called Orla Bardot, where there is a life-size bronze statue of its most famous poster girl.

The Buzios coast has beaches for all preferences and styles. Geribá is where surfers and an atmosphere of flirting reign; whereas João Fernandes and João Fernandinho are the favorites among tourists. Those who seek peacefulness can go to Azedinha, while the calmer waters of Ferradura attract entire families. A pleasant and quick way of getting to know all of them is to take a boat tour around the region, including the Feia and Rasa islands, where there are diving spots.
Sophistication has an address in this city: it can be found in Rua das Pedras. It is there where designer shops, bars, and fine dining as well as intense nightlife are concentrated.
