This morning, we’ll take a ferry ride to Rangitoto Island, Auckland's youngest and most picturesque volcanic island. You’ll enjoy a self-guided hike through the pōhutukawa forest and unique lava fields, ascending to the summit for breathtaking panoramic views of Auckland and the Hauraki Gulf.
A packed lunch will be provided by the hotel for you to enjoy at your leisure during your hike. You are free to explore any of the island’s trails. Amy will guide those interested on the most popular path to the summit, but feel free to choose your own adventure.
Please note: The hike can be steep and would be considered moderate to challenging. You are welcome to opt for an optional excursion this day if this activity does not interest you. Please also note that Rangitoto Island has no facilities or shops, so come prepared with water, proper footwear ( closed toe shoes), sunscreen, and anything else you might need.

Embark on a breathtaking journey as you soar above the stunning landscapes of New Zealand's Southern Alps. The scenic flight from Queenstown offers endless views of snow-capped peaks, pristine lakes, forested valleys, and cascading waterfalls.
Upon landing at Milford Sound Airport, you’ll be greeted by the iconic sight of Mitre Peak and the surrounding dramatic fiord landscape. Choose a shuttle or a short guided walk to the cruise departure point.
Board your Mitre Peak Cruises vessel for a 2-hour exploration of Milford Sound. Cruise the full 16 km of the fiord, passing waterfalls, towering cliffs, and even spotting wildlife such as seals, dolphins, or penguins. Enjoy complimentary tea, coffee, and water while listening to the informative onboard commentary.
After the cruise, your pilot will guide you back to the aircraft for the return flight to Queenstown. A different flight path ensures even more stunning vistas before you land back in Queenstown.
You will be dropped back off at the hotel around 3:00 PM. If you are hungry, you are welcome to visit the Stacks Restaurant at the hotel and charge lunch to your room. We will not be having lunch as a group this day due to the excursion. Enjoy free time to explore on your own until dinner.

Day 8: Scenic Drive and Routeburn Track Adventure

Start your day with breakfast at the hotel at your leisure, then prepare for a breathtaking journey.
8:30 AM: Your adventure begins when Wanaka Transfers picks you up from your hotel. First, you'll stop by the famous Fergbaker, a Queenstown staple, to pick up a delicious lunch for your hike. Then, you'll embark on a scenic one-hour drive along the shores of Lake Wakatipu to Glenorchy. Rated by Lonely Planet as one of the most beautiful drives in the world, this route offers stunning views of towering peaks, tranquil waters, and lush landscapes.
10:30 AM: Arrive at the edge of Mt. Aspiring National Park and begin a guided exploration of the famous Routeburn Track. Walk through serene beech forests, marvel at the cascading Bridal Veil Waterfall, and cross a swing bridge leading to the breathtaking alpine meadows of the Routeburn Flats.
Please note: This is a gradual walk with small inclines and declines that you can take at your own pace over the course of five hours. You are welcome to return to the shelter/car park whenever you’d like. Most of the walk is shaded. Be sure to wear closed-toe shoes to avoid sandfly bites and bring a rain jacket in case of rain. A day pack is also recommended to carry your lunch.

Day 12: Full-Day Hunter Valley Wine Tour ( Shared Experience)
7:00 AM – Depart for a Full-Day Hunter Valley Wine Tour:
Early morning departure. We depart before breakfast at the hotel starts but no worries, there are plenty of opportunities for food at the Sydney Market. You are also welcome to arrange a take away breakfast box from the hotel if you would like. We will be picked up at 7 AM to embark on a small group day trip to the renowned Hunter Valley, famed for its world-class wineries and gourmet cuisine crafted from fresh, local produce.

Led by Jimmy Henry, a seasoned chef with over 20 years of culinary expertise and 12 years of guiding experience, this small, intimate tour promises a unique combination of exceptional food, fine wine, and beautiful landscapes. Since 2015, Jimmy has used his expertise to curate unforgettable experiences, showcasing the region's wine and culinary delights.

9:00 AM – BridgeClimb Sydney ( Shared Experience )
Experience panoramic 360-degree views of Sydney on this tour to the Summit of the iconic Sydney Harbour Bridge. Feel on top of the world as you gradually ascend the upper arch to the peak of this Australian landmark, guided by your dedicated Climb Leader – your tour guide to the top – who will share captivating stories about the Bridge and the stunning harbour skyline. This unforgettable experience suits a wide range of fitness levelS.
1:00 PM: Lunch at Fish on the Rocks
Visit to Bondi Beach:
After lunch, we'll make our way to Bondi Beach, home to one of the world's most photographed pools, the Bondi Icebergs Pool. Take in the iconic coastal beauty and enjoy some beach time. Bondi is known for its lively vibe, so feel free to explore the local shops or take a walk along the shore.
Royal Botanic Gardens Evening Stroll:
We'll then head to the Royal Botanic Gardens, where you can enjoy a peaceful evening stroll through one of Sydney's most beautiful green spaces. The gardens offer panoramic views of the Harbour and are a perfect way to unwind after a day of exploring.
6:00 PM – Group Dinner at Mr. Wong Restaurant:
After a full day of sightseeing, we'll walk to our group dinner at Mr. Wong. Indulge in a delicious two-course meal featuring a fusion of modern Cantonese cuisine. Please note: Alcoholic beverages are at your own expense.
