Spend nine unforgettable days discovering the best of Portugal, beginning with four vibrant nights in Lisbon. Wander through the historic Belém district to sample traditional Portuguese egg custard tarts near the iconic Belém Tower, explore the grand squares of Baixa, and take in panoramic views from São Jorge Castle. A full-day excursion to Sintra reveals a fairy tale world of lush gardens and romantic palaces, including the whimsical Pena Palace, perched high above the Atlantic coast.

Midway through your journey, travel north, stopping in the historic and charming cities of Coimbra and Aveiro, before arriving to the riverside city of Porto for four nights immersed in history, wine, and old-world character. One highlight of your stay in Porto is a breathtaking day trip to the Douro Valley, a UNESCO World Heritage Site of terraced vineyards and winding river views. Payment Policy

All Walker Wellness Retreats require a 25% non-refundable deposit of the total retreat price to secure your booking. Should you need to cancel your trip, your deposit will not be refunded, regardless of the reason for cancellation.

For International Destinations, the next 25% is due 120 days before the trip, and the final remaining balance is due 90 days before departure.

Trips can be paid in full at any time. If booking after the final payment deadline, trip payment in full is due at the time of booking. Invoices NOT paid in full within 7 days of the deadlines mentioned above are subject to trip cancellation. No refunds will be issued for trips canceled due to a lack of payment.  

Cancellation Policy

BEFORE the final payment deadline: If you cancel your reservation before the final payment deadline, any additional payments made beyond the non-refundable 25% deposit will be refunded. However, the 25% deposit remains non-refundable. 

AFTER the final payment deadline: If you cancel your reservation after the final payment deadline, all payments made (including the deposit and any additional amounts) are non-refundable due to financial commitments with our retreat venues, guides, and service providers.

In the unlikely event that Walker Wellness Retreats cancels a retreat, you will be given a 100% full refund.

Lisbon is a city best experienced on foot, and today you'll walk through centuries of history, culture, and flavor. From the hilltop battlements of a Moorish castle to the grand riverside monuments of Portugal's Age of Discovery, this is Lisbon at its most iconic — layered, beautiful, and endlessly interesting.

No transfers today — the city is your guide.

Main Activities

• Explore the historic Alfama district, Lisbon's oldest and most atmospheric neighborhood, with its winding alleys and panoramic miradouros (viewpoints)

• Visit São Jorge Castle, perched above the city with sweeping views across the rooftops and the Tagus River
