We take food very seriously, and we know our guests do too. All meals are included during your stay, as well as snacks for your activities. We also offer gluten-free, vegetarian, and vegan options upon request.
Every retreat features a private yoga instructor who offers multiple classes during your stay. All classes are optional, which mean you can choose what you feel is right for you.
Yellowstone National Park contains some of the most spectacular hiking trails in the country. There are endless trails and absolutely breathtaking scenery.
While we aim to provide an incredible experience on our retreats, we want to clarify that we are not permitted to operate as official tour guides within Yellowstone National Park or similar protected areas. National Park regulations require specific permits and certifications to guide hikes, which we do not hold. Instead, all hiking on our retreats is self-guided. We provide detailed information, recommendations, and resources to help you enjoy the trails safely and confidently. This approach allows us to focus on creating a holistic retreat experience, including wellness activities, accommodations, and other unique offerings, while respecting the park’s guidelines.
Our retreat home is located just outside of Yellowstone National Park near Island Park, Idaho. We take you into the parks and drop you off where you need to go (no parking required). Entry to the park is also included with your booking.
You deserve a little "me time." That's why each retreat has built-in leisure time so you can relax in the hot tub, journal, or take a nap. All activities are optional so that you can enjoy your retreat at your own pace.

Our beautiful Yellowstone retreat home is fully furnished and designed to make your stay as comfortable as possible. Here are some features of the home:
Each of our Domestic Hiking & Yoga retreats calls for a team of experts to ensure your experience is good. Joining us on this retreat will be a chef and a retreat facilitator/yoga instructor. To see a list of our team members, visit the About Us page on our website. In the weeks before your retreat, you will be allowed to meet your specific retreat team on a video call.
All Walker Wellness Retreats require a 25% non-refundable deposit of the total retreat price to secure your booking. Should you need to cancel your trip, your deposit will not be refunded regardless of the reason for cancellation.
For U.S. destinations, the next 25% is due 60 days before the trip, and the final remaining balance is due 30 days before departure.
For International Destinations, the next 25% is due 120 days before the trip, and the final remaining balance is due 90 days before departure.
Trips can be paid in full at any time. If booking after the final payment deadline, trip payment in full is due at time of booking. Invoices NOT paid in full within 7 days of the above-mentioned deadlines are subject to trip cancellation. No refunds will be issued for trips canceled due to lack of payment.
Cancellation Policy
BEFORE the final payment deadline: If you cancel your reservation before the final payment deadline, any additional payments made beyond the non-refundable 25% deposit will be refunded. However, the 25% deposit remains non-refundable.
AFTER the final payment deadline: If you cancel your reservation after the final payment deadline, all payments made (including the deposit and any additional amounts) are non-refundable due to financial commitments with our retreat venues, guides, and service providers.
In the unlikely event that Walker Wellness Retreats cancels a retreat, you will be given a 100% full refund.

The deadline to book a domestic retreat is 15 days before the retreat begins; however, some exceptions can be made based on availability. Please email us at info@walkerwellnessretreats.com to inquire about booking after the deadline has passed.

Welcome! Our adventure will begin in Salt Lake City, Utah. We'll pick up each guest at the airport or local area hotel. Then, we'll depart as a group and make the approximately 5-hour scenic drive to the retreat home in Island Park, Idaho. We'll pass through the gorgeous scenery of Central Idaho before arriving at the house between 5:00 pm - 6:00 pm. First, we will do a welcome orientation as a group. Next, we will review the retreat and hiking opportunities schedule, followed by an evening yoga session and a group dinner.
9:00 am - 11:00 am: Airport/Hotel Pickups - Scheduled pickups from Salt Lake City International Airport and hotels. Please plan to arrive in SLC no later than 11:00 am when the retreat departs. We strongly recommend arriving a day before the retreat if your schedule allows.
Noon: Lunch/Grocery Stop - We will make a short stop to grab lunch and any last-minute items for the trip. We will also stop at the Utah State Liquor Store if guests want to purchase any alcoholic beverages for the journey.
1:00 pm: Depart from Salt Lake City
6:00 pm: Welcome Orientation at the retreat home
6:30 pm: Evening Yoga
7:30 pm: Group Dinner
We'll start with yoga first thing in the morning before a rich breakfast buffet and a full day in the park. We'll pack our lunches, depart the retreat home at 10:00 am sharp, and head to Old Faithful and the Upper Geyser Basin.
After catching the Old Faithful eruption from the viewing area, we'll explore the rest of the Upper Geyser Basin. In the afternoon, we'll check out Biscuit Basin and the Grand Prismatic Spring and take a short walk to the Midway Geyser Basin.

10:00 am: Yellowstone National Park - Old Faithful, Upper Geyser Basin, Grand Prismatic Spring, and Midway Geyser Basin.

We'll start the day with a morning yoga session before eating breakfast and packing our lunches for a day of sightseeing and hiking in Yellowstone National Park.

10:00 am: Grand Canyon of Yellowstone & the Hayden Valley
Mid Morning: Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone South Rim. We'll head to the South Rim of the Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone first to check out Artist Point and Upper Falls Viewpoint.
Early Afternoon: Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone North Rim. The light is better on the canyon's North Rim by early afternoon. It's a one-way loop through the North Rim, so we'll plan on stopping at the viewpoints in order. Today, we'll see Lookout Point, Grand View, and Inspiration Point. Also, the Brink of the Lower Falls or Red Rock Point trails are great hiking options this day.
Late Afternoon: West Thumb Geyser Basin. After seeing the Grand Canyon, we'll head back through Hayden Valley to the West Thumb Geyser Basin, stopping to see Yellowstone Lake along the way, although this will add 1 hour to your time back to the retreat home. Also, time permitting, we'll make stops at the Abyss Pool, Fishing Cone, and Black Pool.
We'll drive back to the retreat home to freshen up before gathering for an evening yoga session, followed by a group dinner and free time for the rest of the evening.

Today, we'll return to Yellowstone National Park for another day of hiking and exploration. After morning yoga and breakfast, we'll depart for the Norris Geyser Basin. In the afternoon, we'll make a stop at Mammoth Hot Springs and the Albright Visitor Center.
Alternatively, you can enjoy the amenities and more downtime at the retreat home.

We'll check out and depart the retreat home shortly after a delicious breakfast. We'll pack a lunch for the trip to Salt Lake City. Along the way, we'll make a stop and enjoy a scenic hike along the Silver Lake Trail and Thurman Creek Loop. Afterward, we'll make the drive back to Salt Lake City for guest drop-offs.
